advices needed.
so recently, i got into a accident with my e55 and the insurance company totaled it due to the main wiring harness damage and it was too big of a risk even if it was repaired. anyway, i need some opinions on getting a new replacement for the e55 so i thought id post here to get the most valuable advices. (really wants to get into a smaller car/convertible)
first options, of course is the m5 and m6, but im worried about the fact that these 2 cars might have a new updated model coming out soon and ill have this car for at least 3-4 years.
second is a brand new m3 convertible dct. i've always wanted a convertible and even better that its an hardtop. and after a test drive the transmission is amazing and all around is very sporty besides the fact that the power is very dissappointing but i can always mod it.
then its 997 turbo, its my dream car but my only problem with this is that it might not be too comfortable for daily driving and the used prices are still kind of high for a lower mileage one.
i really cant think of anything else out there with decent power, new, and the cost is under 100k, what do you guys think?

well like i said... the 55s are all outdated right now and i dont wanna have another 55k, need something for a change. the cl65 new model is way above 100k and a clk63 bs wouldnt really be a good choice as an daily driver.

yes they can around 100k, but i need this to be a daily driver, and i dont wanna have 2 cars cause i know the beater would be left on the side with spider webs on it. but im really thinking towards the new m3 convertible with the color combo alpine white with fox red leather, but the only problem is the power being so low....
i really cant think of anything out there thats a updated model and or wont have a updated model coming out anytime soon, if not id get the m6 in a heart beat

M3s are so common though, if you go that route maybe try to find a Z4 M, dont see those too often. Sorry to hear about the E55

05' E55 AMG
reading the posts, starting from your original one, the m6 and the 997 sound like they may be a bit uncomfortable for everyday driving. if you want something diff. but want to stay within the 4 originals you mentioned (m5, m6, 997, or new m3) get the m5. good power, four doors like the E55, good handling, a couple minor mods and your car will be running hard. It just seems that you are leaning towards the m3 which is also a great car, but a bit small IMHO

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
You could EASILY drive a 997TT everyday.... they are extremely comfortable/user friendly (anyone who has owned one/driven extensively should agree w me)
Only problem is they are still a bit more expensive than the other choices -
But that is the only route I would go, I think the new M3 sucks, sorry

i do agree the new m3 sucks, but the hardtop convertible, sound of that v8 and the modding potential attracts me.. being the new sl models are still a bit expensive(amg models)
