WOW!!! are these getting cheap. I have been considering 1 as a DD the past 3 months and the deals keep getting better so I'm backing off. I was offered
a nice Black/White car with less than 5k for miles at 64k and then White/Gray
same miles for 62k. I just wish I could get past the AWKWARD look. The car is fast but it doesn't seem as fast as the posted numbers off the line. I think the 3.2 or 3.5 0-60 time is more like 4.0-4.2

Actually the GTR is holding its value pretty well when you compare it to the competition. The car shares it's structure with no other car, was designed and tuned by some of the worlds greatest automotive engineers and truly has a cult-like following.
"Awkward".....yes to some but it looks like nothing else on the road and it strikes up conversations wherever it goes. A few "awkward" pictures:

retarded? grow up friend! it's called an opinion and is shared by many in regards to the GTR. The car is a performer no doubt but it's hard to get past the look that's all. I'm still considering a GTR purchase as a DD along with a few others. The technology involved with the car and trans have kept me interested.

the GT-R is a super car...
but the Nissan dealers will want to charge and arm and leg to even service the car.
What is Nissan doing about mods on the GTR, are they as serious as BMW?
I would love to own one of these cars a few years down the road.. but maintanance costs is a big concern.
The e55 shares parts across the MB line up.. finding parts is pretty simple.

E55, Supercharged Z4 (sold)
I'm thinking about a GTR in a few years after I pass the E55 on to my gf. I'm worried about maintenace too. I'm betting that it's similar to the E55 though. Best to have an extended warranty (say in 2 years) and look for one in good cosmetic shape etc. Sound about right?
