These aren't cast wheels. In fact, by "lighter" TG means a 22 pound wheel
and by "stronger", well, that's self explanatory. I dont know if you're being sarcastic Vic, but these are definitely not a cast wheel.
Whereas it could be argued, I suppose, that flow forming is a version of casting, the pressure involved is vastly greater than both gravity casting and pressure casting. I'm not one to order a product before doing my research and I can tell you, these are no boats![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Kudos to you guys for finding light weight wheels that are stronger than cast.

I think its about time a high quality product came out at a high quality price point. The markup on these types of wheels is usually insane and I, too, usually subscribe to the notion that you get what you pay for. But assuming this company can keep up with production demands, I'm sure they will do very well as they start producing more models. High volume, low margins - I love it!

While waiting on pics, Godfather can you change the center caps and use the Benz caps on the new rims?

I had a huge reply written, but **** it, I rock what I like, what fits me and my pocket book, I have no shame and nothing to prove. If by not rocking HRE's it makes me a lesser person, then some of you HRE elitists need to check yourself out first. Are you the same people who bought a Mercedes for Status? GTFO for real, this is getting old.
And Vic, as for being an attention *****, you betcha!

I haven't checked. I don't think they are the same size. I know they made BMW ones for the BMW crowd. I can see if they'd make some for Mercedes. They are coming out with carbon fiber ones soon, which will still adorn the Forgestar logo. In person, the center cap doesn't look that bad at all. It actually grew on me.

anyway, it ain't no light forged wheels, but it's light on the money, so you know me, if that **** is free or cheap, I'm all over it. But at the same time, I like me a quality product, so that's how I do.

I wanted a hub-centric, strong, not too heavy 1pc rim (decided against 3 pc. long story) that I could run at least 30 series tires on, and benz center caps fit.

Well, so far the Vossen 083's seem to be the best fit for me. Damn I am tired of research, asking questions, etc., but I want to get the right thing for my CLS. My other rides are outfitted already, takes time.

Are the Vossen forged or cast? I know they have two lines.

I may need to call Vossen themselves back and ask. I asked a couple of sponsors here and no answer yet.
