I'm confused . . . I thought I bought an AMG MB, not a VW
Last Sunday, my "new" E55 was delivered to my house while I was away on business. I had a good idea of the condition because one of the members of this board (Shardul) checked it out for me and said everything looked good - and threw in this statement - "oh ya - it also has a spare - not all AMG's came with them as a weight saving measure. . ." Imagine my surprise when i opened the trunk and this is what I saw. . . ![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)

Soooo....are you mad that someone spent an extra $1000 so you could have an extra full-size wheel in the trunk, or are you being sarcastic?
I'll trade you for the dinky spare that i have, if it'll make you feel better.

The title was referencing an ad campaign that VW ran a while back - Paraphrasing - a mechanic opens the trunk -eyes bulge, shoulders slump, jaw drops - as he's doing all of this he says awestruck "Great day in the morning . . . I didn't know they made you anymore" - the camera pans down to a full sized spare - the commercial closes with the words "VW Jetta - Full Size Spare" - needless to say the commercial left an impression - I tried to find it on You Tube but no luck.

Congrats on the "new" ride. If I had a full size spare I'd probably take it out and put it in the garage. A full size tire and wheel setup is pretty heavy even though its over the rare axle. That's just me though, always looking for ways to reduce weight and gain horses.

"Dude, props for the MB, but the Ducati steals the show."
Thanks for the compliment but I do have a question I'm afraid to ask - what exactly is a nitro modded Road King - if it is what I think it is - then that GPS shot for your sig explains alot :P.

Yah, I love twins - had an RC 51 (Which I LOVED) with Sato's that sounded great but there is just something special about the sound of a Duc with termi's.
