Just saw this mod from Lorinser... real pretty headers for the N/A 500 series...
Would they fit a 55K?
Also seems like it will fit a stock exhaust configuration as well...

Have not had the cahones to ask for a price ... swiss are not shy to overcharge.
Yep the angle could be tricky, also clearance , but one of the neatest headers yet seen for the V8's...

Thanks alot, We really tried to put our best foot forward with this project.
I would like to add. Their are headers available for all types of cars that look good on the outside. Its only when you get the headers in your hands and look inside can the story be told. I've seen time and time again what looks like a good header on the outside turns out to be a total crap on the inside. As soon as I can I will take pictures down in the tubes and collectors to show you the true craftsmanship of these headers.

Funny I was thinking of having headers made the exact same way. These are refered to as fenderwall headers. You left enough length for a good merge.
Are you going to have these fabbed state side? Got to say the kleemans I got looked to be cheap knock offs.
I am interested in a set of the 321's with the heavest gauge possible.

You're literally looking at the only set in existence, MBH's prototype set. They haven't even had 'em on the car yet for testing and/or dyno results... they may even determine the need for design modifications throughout their R&D of these headers - how can he reasonably deliver an ETA on final production pieces? Cut the guy some slack - I'm sure hooleyboy/MBH will reveal the results and timetable for production as soon as he possibly can.

AMG's are around all the time at Dyno-Comp so I'm fitting them to a CLS55 this week SL55 and E55.
The production for the C55 will be available within the next week if all test are good. The 55k will take some very light mods to the down pipes and cat pipes. But really thats nothing we cant do fast. I would say the 55k headers are about 2-3 weeks out from production.

now we have 2 in existence. The jigs are made. My cars custom exhaust is finished. Just modding the stock exhaust a bit to fit the headers. for realistic Dyno numbers. Cat pipes are done.

these headers look sick! though they look better in person. welds are beyond perfect. the pipe cuts and bends are amazing as well! excellent worksmanship altogether. can't wait to see these rolling on these 55Ks. These guys will be in for a REAL treat!

I only want to put my hands on the best products. All TIG welded, I might add is much stronger and cleaner than MIG welds... As you know. Not to mention these headers are just as nice and clean on the inside too. I wanted to get on the Dyno today, but We had a hold up on my custom exhaust so looks like dyno tomorrow.

Thank you, It good to get another sponsor who makes headers thoughts.

Excellent, Nice to see you are using the best materials (stainless) as well as the highest quality production techniques (TIG). Its the only way to build a truly top notch product, anything less would be too inferior for such high end automobiles. Nothing worse than putting on a coated set of mild steel headers on your car and then having them rust within 1 year, that's just unacceptable for Mercedes. You definitely made the right choice
Keep up the good work.

Desing is king, there is no doubt about that. We are using mandrel bend tubing rather than just scab in sloppy pipe that's cut at angles out of straight tube. I've seen it many time people use great materials but the headers themselves are just terrible.
We put alot of thought into the design of our headers to make not only a header that fits well, but is made using proven header fabrication techniques.
I hope to have the first dyno runs done today. I had my exhaust system converted to stainless so thats the only hold up. I use to have some cheap aluminum pipe...
We are hoping this header proves to be the best header available for the 55's. With our fabricators many years of working for Billy Boat and building Indy car (IRL) exhaust systems. We feel Dyno-Comp truly has one of the best header fabricators in the game.
Before he came on as our full time fabricator he was even working on custom exhaust systems for vintage WWII fighter planes. Not only does he do outstanding work he's a good friend of mine.. so I cant say enough good things about him.

I've been trying to hammer out the lowest price I possibly can. The tentative price for the headers is $3490.
I dont have the best car to test the headers on. My last dyno run just before took my Evosport shorty headers and custom duel exhaust off. I made 438whp. Friday on the dyno I made 452whp with only 5psi of boost at redline! a drop of just under 2psi of boost and and making more power.
