No,

For a long tube header of that quality, with all the necessary emissions equipment in an all-in-one package. That is a very fair price, especially considering the production technique & quality of materials used. IF we were to develop one it would be roughly around the same price.

I dont have the best car to test the headers on. My last dyno run just before took my Evosport shorty headers and custom duel exhaust off. I made 438whp. Friday on the dyno I made 452whp with only 5psi of boost at redline! a drop of just under 2psi of boost and and making more power.
Hey to put out 14 more hp than the evosport piece and coming up short on the boost, that's not bad. More power to come

E55 headers are coming, Our computer aided design program spit out very similar data.. So A test fit to a CLS55 or an E55 will tell the tail of the minor alterations needed. I still need an SL55 for a fitment test.

Here is what you can basically expect

Looks great Mike. If I didn't have a set already on order I would be all over this. Have you decided on what size pipes are going to be used for E55's, 2.5" or 2.75"

This is a good looking piece. Hooleyboy, please take an E55 dyno it pre and post, on a dyno dynamics, and if it makes the power we all hope it does, it will be very hard for those of us on the fence to resist.

I've just been waiting for someone to make a set and properly document it rather than just relying on speculation "they are long tubes, of course they will make power!"

Looks good, really think its going to out-perform the longtubes that LET is offering for nearly $1500 less than these though?

Wouldn't it be great if they could have side by side comparison between the two products, Dyno #'s and weld quality inside and out! I bet one has much better quality than the other, it's just a guess though.

Does anyone have the LET headers yet for either the C32 or E55?

Man these headers look so good they may put all other long tube headers out of business! Keep up the amazing work hooley, you certainly never disappoint.

+1, that would be interesting. I'd recommend throwing Kleemann's hat in the ring, too.

AFAIK, LET's shop C32 and E55 have been running their product for awhile, but they've been pretty close-to-the-vest with dyno results, sound clips, track results, etc. etc. Not sure about customer cars.

Jerry says LET should have customer and final results within a week or so. HIN Chicago is this weekend, and hence eating up all the time.

Yeah some type of non shorty type headers shootout would be awesome. 3 similarly equipped cars with these, the LET longtubes, and the Kleeman with primary cat deletes all dyno'd back to back on the same day to see really which ones make the most power.

Our fabricator has made headers for IRL racing teams, Baja trophy trucks, The worlds fastest CTS-V back on 04 at 217mph, Vipers, Vettes etc... And thats just one aspect of what he can do. We are truely lucky to have him as part of our team.

For you boosted guys, I seen a drop of about 2psi in boost while still making power over my past setup. MY IAT's were about 10 degrees over ambiant with my currant cooling system (split system, 2 heat exchanges). After the the header install my IAT's (monitored after the intercooler) as of yesterday were about 4 degrees below ambiant!

Yesterday it was 108 degrees out and my IAT's were at 104 degrees at highway speed. Personaly I think there is a few things going on that helped result in the the temp drop.
1. being lower boost = less heat.
2. Stainless steels ability to keep heat inside the headers.

I had to ask myself "Is that possible to run slightly below ambiant?" I quess I can only go on what the data says.

As for pitting our headers vs other headers on the market. It would be fun to see the results.

I'm not sure the steps taken form other long tubes on the market, but here are some of the steps we take (I may have posted thes pics in an other thread)

Purging the header with gas so the welds are just as good on the inside

One day when I grow up I want to be able to weld like that!

Please don't forget the right hand drive fraternity!!!!!

BTW what do you guys do with the OEM primary cats & down tubes?

I'd be interested in seeing what kind of power these headers make on the N/A 55 AMG motor. You supercharger guys can't have all the fun!!

Are you running ice in your split cooling system? If not - there's no possible way that I can think of that your post-intercooled air is cooler than ambient temps... so the sensor must be grabbing a false-reading somehow.
