2010 E-Class Coupe 63 AMG
Wow, haven't been on here for a while (I was sucked into the BMW world).
Guys, I'm pretty sure I've found my next toy.
The new E-Class Coupe 63 AMG.
Anyone know when we'll be able to see this beauty?
I'm calling my MB dealer tomorrow to see when the order guide will be available, but I'm thinking the 63 E-Class coupe should be here in October?
I'm also assuming that it will be getting the standard 6,3 liter V8 from AMG?
Can't wait, loosing sleep already!

Dealers usually know nothing about future models unfortunately, but i'm sure you can find many of them that will say a AMG E Coupe will be released just to have your "potential" business. Other than that i dont' have info on the E class coupe. Looks decent at least. Buy an M6

I don't like the M6 much, I've always loved the pillar-less design of the W209 and this new coupe continues the trend. It certainly looks sexy.
I was looking into a 2009 997S but it's way to small and unpractical for me at the moment and I'm not a fan of how Porsche does business and treats their customers.

I was told by a factory rep at my local dealer when they had a release party for the 4 dr that the coupe will not be getting AMG treatment.

I just got back from looking up close at the W212.
If I hadn't been a previous MB owner and I saw the W212 as my first intro to Benz, I would go and buy a Lexus. The only thing that even lets my eyes get close to that thing is because I'm familiar with MB performance and MB's long history of auto manufacturing.
But very first time MB buyers are going to say, WTF, why not just buy Japanese? They now look identical. And Lexus/Toy/Infiniti/Nissan/Hyundai/Kia have better reliability and nicer dealers who will treat you well.....

Seems like the W211 was the pinnacle of E-Class design, just like the E39 was the pinnacle of 5-Series design.

+100 Mercedes should have Mercedes STYLE !!! if so like Jap, then get a Jap, much cheaper and realiable ..... also better resale value.

AMG issued a press release saying NO E63 coupe will be produced. They dont want to detract from other segments with the amg product. They will only produce a 4 door E63 on the W212 chassis. There is no 63 in the computer for future production. Its not coming.

Keep in mind that the E coupe is a C, not an E. It's based on the C platform. Apparently, they'll make more money calling it an E.
So, an E63 coupe would be a lot of work, since it shares nothing with the E Sedan.

*Maybe so*... But, forums and blogs abound with misinformation and wishful speculation. According to most posts in this thread, multiple dealers in multiple locations have given the same answer- NO W212 E63 COUPE.
