True story- I took all the emblems off the 55 the other day, and I'm cruising back from DC on 395 at 60mph in the right lane, and I notice a car staying behind me in the middle lane on my left QP- like he's staring at my car, he's driving a EVO9. He pulls up next to me and starts making fun of the car, screaming out "FAKE AMG! HAHAHAHA" and tries to pull on me... ;-) You know what happened... I lost sight of him by 80mph, outta sight at 120. I slow down back to 60mph and let him catch up... I just wave and smile. =P I put my window down and yell - "Nice Car!"

Did you de badge your car in hopes to trap people into racing you?

Just curious, what is the Factory official word when the Dealer puts an AMG badge on a non AMG car? Do they just turn a blind eye or is this practice something the manufacture endorses?

I went to an exclusive golf country club in Hawaii. Members only. $28,000 for initiation + monthly fees. I got invited from a friend to golf and see this beauty. ML550 AMG?!?!? Obviously this guy has money as a member of the country club. Why pose with his ML. I don't get it. Just buy the real thing!

This kills me! E350 AMG Black Series... WTF?!?!? I was going to photo the back but the owner came out and I didn't want to be obvious. Lady in her late 30's early 40's. Jeans and -Tshirt. She looked so innocent. I'll assume its her husband did it cause that lady looked like she could careless.

I doubt she did that to the car cause she's much older. I'm gonna take a pic next time I see her! Now that I have tint, she won't see me doing it.

We bought our first house a year ago and within a month of moving in one of the neighbors noticed my AMG and told the other neighbors that it's an expensive car.
Now, two weeks ago that person has a CL55 AMG sitting in their driveway. I noticed it doesn't have quad exhaust pipes, no AMG body kit, no AMG brakes, and no "V8 Kompressor" badge on the side of the car. Just the "CL55" and "AMG" badge on the trunk.
I'm waiting for them to come by and tell me about their AMG so I can "talk to" (educate) them about their new car.

Haha...no I'm not! It's just that her car is so BLATANTLY WRONG and I see her at least once a week on the way home from work!

I got a hand-me-down 280E years ago from my brother who liked to fix up cars. He had an aftermarket rear deck spoiler that had AMG wording already etched on there. I don't want to give any false information, but I think the spoiler came from one of the big MB tuners. Maybe it really was by AMG before Mercedes purchased the company? This was back in the '90s.

This thread is great but what about finding out where the most posers are? I swear in Tracy, Ca there has to be the most. The little time I have been there I have seen two CLS 350 AMG's, A CLS 550 AMG, a couple E350 AMG (seems to be the most common), SL550 AMG (in fact he was at the shop looking at my E55 and the owners E63 so he was aware he was posing), but the best is this S430 AMG with quad exhaust that wouldn't pass my car as we stopped at a light. I know there were a couple others I just can't remember.
So for a population of 82,000 I have seen at least a dozen posers, all squeezed in 21 square miles. It must be a club out here to be a douche!

Too true, I had a CLK430 with AMG package and it had an AMG badge on the back. It came that way from the dealership.

Driving with my wife in our R500.... some guy in a "S63 AMG", 6.3 badges and all... pulls up and looking guido smiles at my wife.... I go on to compliment him on his car, and the fact that his s550 badged as a S63 is missing the quad exhaust and told him eisemann makes the quad exhaust for his fake S63.... that pissed him off really nice.
