E55 and C55 share this common part number: A203 270 0089
SL65 and SLR share this common part number: A240 270 0089
Are they the same with just a different chassis number IDK???
That even it this is the part being talked about.
UP to vin number ending in 247134 use A203
As of vin number ending in 247135 use A240

Honestly I have no idea lol. I'm very lost with all of this I got a get of SLR 722 valves coming in. I dont even know if they are what I need. EPCnet and the parts guy at Mercedes told me thats whats up. ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Cool thing is if these valves are not what we are looking for I don't have to buy them. However If they are using a Mercedes part I can get it at a discount.
I am searching for Kevlar clutch packs as we speak.. that would be a cool mod
All these 722.6/NAG1 transmission guys hang out over at the SRT-8 and SRT8Cherokee forums forums I got a feeler out their with a guy who seems to know his stuff the company name is Paramount Performance Products.

I guess a good place to start is looking for a transmission that shares your common setup... Does the SL65BS have a similar trans? If it does maybe start there???

Part# 240 277 00 98 was replaced with part# 240 270 00 89 So I'm guessing they are the same thing. EPCnet says they basically are... So if you were to order these parts from MB and gave them 240 277 0098 you would get 240 270 00 89.
Now lets see what cars came with these valves.
EDIT: My car did not come with these valves mine came with 140 277 03 98 and was replaced on EPCnet with 203 270 00 89
EDIT: the blue top 240 270 00 89 are for transmission 722.643 my car has a 722.636 what ever that means.

I'm thinking yes. If you give the dealer part number 240 277 00 98 or 240 270 00 89 you should be fine. Retail on these is $217.00 a piece so thats $434.00 a set. I know I can beat that price.

I just got off the phone with my dealer too... lol. I can get them for $185.00 a piece. I can wait until my other parts guy gets in to see If he can beat it. I was given a quote of $395.00 a set yesterday and now the we are lower so thats a good thing. I'm down to $370.00 a set

2003 CL55 Kompressor Horizon Blue Metallic
The end of the units I put in (blue) versus the end of the units I took out (brown) were definitely different. The blue units had more of a recess to them. This would impact the flow. The TCM probably doesn't recognize a difference in the solenoids themselves (the solenoids may be exactly the same), but the fluid flow through the ends will differ.

I don't know how to read the EPC printout but it looks like the valve has been updated 4X; A1402770098> A1402770398> A2032700089> A240270098> A2402700089.
Am I reading this correctly? If that is the case, there is really no way to tell what you have until you open it up. My '04 shifts too soft and slow for me so it's worth a look. Thanks to all for providing this information!
