I don't know how to read the EPC printout but it looks like the valve has been updated 4X; A1402770098> A1402770398> A2032700089> A204270098> A2042700089.
Am I reading this correctly? If that is the case, there is really no way to tell what you have until you open it up. My '04 shifts too soft and slow for me so it's worth a look. Thanks to all for providing this information!

Mclarenm8d, If you kept your old brown top valves, could you post the old part # when you have a chance? At least then we can confirm going from Axxx to Axxx should give similar results.

2003 CL55 Kompressor Horizon Blue Metallic
What came out of my 2003 CL55, brown tops, was stamped on the side with A140 277 03 98
The earlier pictures posted were the same as what went back in, blue tops, stamped on the top with A 240 277 00 98.

Looks like the older AMG's and the lower models might benefit from this. It looks like C32 and C55 have the old style A140 valves I would even say from my ECPnet research that older E55's would have the A140 valves.
I personally cant wait until tomorrow to get these valves in. If all goes well I will have them installed tomorrow with a full review. I hoping to see some A140 stamped on the old valves.
mclarenm8d, Thank you for doing this mod and hooking it up with the numbers. Total team player!

I may be totally off the mark with this but what are the chances these bluetops will work on non-AMG 5spds?
