Southern Hotrod "Shift Improvement Package" Installed
SL65 and SLR share this common part number: A240 270 0089
Are they the same with just a different chassis number IDK???
That even it this is the part being talked about.
UP to vin number ending in 247134 use A203
As of vin number ending in 247135 use A240

Cool thing is if these valves are not what we are looking for I don't have to buy them. However If they are using a Mercedes part I can get it at a discount.
I am searching for Kevlar clutch packs as we speak.. that would be a cool mod
All these 722.6/NAG1 transmission guys hang out over at the SRT-8 and SRT8Cherokee forums forums I got a feeler out their with a guy who seems to know his stuff the company name is Paramount Performance Products.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I just got off the phone with my dealer too... lol. I can get them for $185.00 a piece. I can wait until my other parts guy gets in to see If he can beat it. I was given a quote of $395.00 a set yesterday and now the we are lower so thats a good thing. I'm down to $370.00 a set

The end of the units I put in (blue) versus the end of the units I took out (brown) were definitely different. The blue units had more of a recess to them. This would impact the flow. The TCM probably doesn't recognize a difference in the solenoids themselves (the solenoids may be exactly the same), but the fluid flow through the ends will differ.
Am I reading this correctly? If that is the case, there is really no way to tell what you have until you open it up. My '04 shifts too soft and slow for me so it's worth a look. Thanks to all for providing this information!
