Need Toyo T1R's - Racers Edge OOB

Hi guys. My E55, which is now driven by my wife, is in need of new rear tires after 8500 miles. Racers Edge, which was my first choice, is no longer in business. Anyone have a particular vendor they like to do business with. Tirerack does not carry Toyo's (I wonder why ). I searched and can find them easily enough, but looking for someone with prior experience that can help. Many thanks...... I see some people selling on Ebay for $210 per. Thoughts??

Tread Depot. I moved up from the 255's that come stock on the C63 to 275's and I am really happy!!

http://www.treadepot.com/group/prt1r.html

They had great service and were responsive when I called.

There is a huge difference in the traction with the 275x35x18 T1R's versus the factory supplied 255x35x18 Pirelli's. Absolutely huge difference!

I had Bridgestone Pole RE050's on my E55 but they were nothing special.

You can't go wrong with the T1R's

Good luck and stay safe!!

Phil

Here is a post from a couple days ago

Buying Toyo Tires Online...Pricing I have found.
Since I get so much information from you guys, I'd like to try and contribute when I get things done, or buy things for the car (yeah, I can be a bit of a research-aholic!). Anyway, just thought I'd pass on what I have found as far as online pricing for Toyo T1R tires that I have decided to get...with shipping.

2 Fronts - 245/40 18s
2 Rears - 275/35 18s

Edgeracing.com - 745.42
Treaddepot.com - 754.00
Tiresavings.com - 801.04
Tiredeals4less.com - 888.58
1010tires.com - 985.04
Prostreetonline.com - 1003.96
Discount Tire and Tire Pros - don't sell Toyos.

This is, of course, strictly price shopping.

Edit to add; shipping to the Phoenix area.

Edgeracing is no longer open. I believe they closed a while ago. Just an FYI...

Thanks guys. Edge Racing's website is down and nobody calls you back when you leave a message. I wonder how the other member got prices. Weird. I think I'll give treadepot a call today. $199 for stock 265/35/18 is the best price I have seen. Most are 210-240. Thanks again.

Michael_s:

Go with the 275x35x18's!!

Honestly after 6 years and 2 W211 E55's for me (you wont be sorry)!

They will fit without a problem (they even fit on my C63). The difference in
traction is magnitudes better with the 2.75's vs. the 2.65's!

Best of luck and enjoy!

Phil

Try onlinetires.com. They seem to have pretty cheap prices also from what I researched.

onlinetires.com has some really good prices. $194 for 265's and $206 for up-size 275's. I think I'm going with 275's. Thanks guys!! Much appreciated.
