aftermarket belts
Hey, have any of you purchased non-MB belts for the E55? Experiences?
I think I'm going to buy some Dayco belts today unless I someone gives me a compelling reason not to.

The Dayco is good for the AC but I prefer the gates belt for the Supercharger. I have used both and the Gates is nice.. Might as well just use the same brand on both belts, whatever you decide.

The tensioner lets you use the same belts with larger pulleys.

rockauto.com has belts from a few manufacturers, thats where I bought mine, and a lot of other parts for different cars over the years. They generally have very good prices.

cars with larger crank pulleys should def go to a longer belt in order to have some slack for the tensioner to come down.
