How can I tell If my car is blutooth compatible?
Does the car have to be equipped with a phone from the factory? I Have heard that the mb bluetooth plugs into the armrest department? My car has dvd command if that makes a difference. Thanks in Advance

It will only pair with a very limited assortment of Blackberrys and cell phones. Check the archives for a list. You may have an incompatible unit. Mine paired almost immediately when put the right combo together.

Make sure your phone has the bluetooth turned on, and is also set to be visible to other devices or else the bluetooth puck won't connect with it. Have your phone set up this way then go and start the car; when the bluetooth puck first comes online it looks to pair with known devices. Then once your phone recognizes it, enter the pass code of 62872 (MBUSA).
My phone wasn't on the list of compatible phones but it still paired and I can still access my phone book and all that jazz. Good luck.

The car dose not have to have a factory phone for a bluetooth to work in the 03 & 04 cars. This is because the TeliAid system is what the bluetooth uses.
