Would like to borrow an E63 in Los Angeles
Hey,
So I'm an aspiring filmmaker and I'm actually wokring on my first project right now. The only thing is that I'm not getting enough practice. I realized the best way to get camera/editing practice would be to constantly be making things. I decided to make my own car review show on youtube. It's just for fun and hopefully I could get some useful feedback from you guys and others on youtube. I figure just between my close friends and their families I have a lot of cars to choose from.
The first car I'm doing is my E55. I'm going to start off talking about how practical/comfortable it is and how it's the perfect family car (comparing it to my friends Range Rover Sport) and then saying that this car can also do this, and cut to a burnout of the E55. Then talk about how fast it is in a straight, even compared to purebreds. I'm eventually going to take it into the canyons (probably Mulholland) to show that the cars downfall is its handling. I'd really like an E63 for this portion to show the differences.
Would anybody in the L.A area be willing to hang out for a few hours and either let me or have them drive the car while we film? Let me know if anybody would be interested.
And at the end I'm just going to say the truth; that both cars are amazing in their own way and it all depends on what you're looking for. I think I'm also going to have some used car printouts of E55s and talk about how good the value is right now.
Please let me know if you're interested in helping me out.
Thanks

Thanks a lot bro. I really appreciate it. And I'll definitely let you know, maybe I'll do a compare between a new E350 and a used E55 that can be had for less cash. I want to do as many of these as possible. I just want to keep practicing.

Sounds good... I'm thinking it might be a 2 day thing... one day alone with my car, the next day with both cars. I've actually wanted to do this for a long time and now I have a really good excuse. I also have 2 bomb *** cameras to film this with:
The main camera is my Canon Vixia HF S100 which is a full HD camera
The secondary camera for all the cool angles is a Go Pro camera which I can mount to any bumper, door or window.
I have some really good ideas for this.

I decided that I'm going to be filming this on Thursday afternoon, my friend who's going to be helping me out can start at about 4PM (he has a final that day) so I'm going to do all of the singl car shots on Thursday, and if I can get another car I'm gonna do both cars together on the following week (I'm leaving for Vegas on Friday for my brothers bachelor party) . This should be a lot of fun.

Not sure, I'll be in the Beverly Hills area though, lots of nice long streets. Maybe till 8 or 9.
I'll also have an old friend from high school coming. She wants to be a photographer and she wants practice. We should have a good time.

Hey Guys, I filmed the first part of the E55 segment today and it was a blast. I still have a few more shots to get, which I'm gonna get next week, but today was a ton of fun. I already decided what the next car I want to do is. I want to try to get my hands on an M5. I want to do a segment on it and then have a contest between that and my E55.
Quick question for you guys. I'm going to do a segment on my friend's S5, in the same tradition of challenges that I want to keep doing, what should I pin it up against in a challenge? I was thinking an M3, but Top Gear pinned the M3 up against an RS4, aren't RS4s much faster/sportier than S5s? Forgive me for I know nothing about Audis.
And what's a good Audi forum where I can ask for info?

lol. I did all my filming in Brentwood. I figured the streets are wider and there re never any cops around. From now on I'll be doing all the filming in the City of Industry, all of the warehouses are closed on weekends and the streets are completely empty.
Want to come out one day to do a segment on your C63? I could probably pin it up against my friend's S5 (if they're in the same class, I really dont know, I know that Top Gear pinned it up against an RS4)

I'm an idiot, I was thinking S6 and not S5. That's a tough one to compare. A 335i, 650i, or XK would be a decent comparison but pricewise a standard equipped S5 wouldn't be anywhere near any of them. Maybe try a CLK550?

Oh ok. I just need a name, I'll be way too busy with the ideas I already have before I can trysomething new out. I'm pretty sure I can find an M5 for both the segment and the road challenge. On Monday I'm interviewing people for the on road crew. I hope everyone involved just has a good time with this.
