I know the W211 COMAND works with the CLS and CLS AMG, but i am not sure about 2006. It should since I don't think the CLS went through any changes lately, but ask a dealer or check with one of the more knowledgeable members on this forum like STEVE or other members.

Oops, messed up a couple of times. The pix are from my iphone so not that clear. There is some dust showing in the pix, no scratches.

do you know if this is a straight plug it right in and its works?
or does the dealer have to get in there to make it work like gm units?

It is plug and play. The unit doesn't have that many wires in the back. If i remember correctly there should be a harness for power and such, then a fiber cable. It is already unlocked for VIDEO in MOTION. There are a lot of threads on this forum for the uninstall and reinstall, as well as a lot of info on EURO COMANDs. By the way Nikkatine, I forgot, but does the Euro Comand have a aux input?

Godfather, I know it has AUX button . And I know you can add an AUX input, but I don't think there is a jack or input behind the unit itself, though I may be wrong. I know there are harnesses or adapters you can loop in with the fiber cable that adds inputs that are relatively cheap. Also, I think if you already have the aux input in your glove box, it should work as well but you might wanna check with someone more knowing on this matter.

I have the cable for it. Yeah you're correct, yours will allow for aux input. Just have the Benz cable plugged in the back and that's it.

The EURO COMAND plays dvd movies, video while in motion, and plays mp3 in cd or dvd discs. There may be a few other differences, but those are the main perks.
