New gauge for Mercedes
This is a prototype gauge on my car, currently only displays "generic" parameters via the OBD2 port such as boost pressure, ignition advance, IAT, rpm, etc. DTC's can be read and cleared, has programmable warning lights that monitor any selected parameter which you can see on the top of the gauge. It has a couple analog inputs as well to read things such as A/F ratio as you can see from the picture. It will eventually read numerous enhanced parameters such as knock, trans temp, oil pressure, oil level, etc.
The "AMG" face is also a prototype, not sure if it will be offered. It is made by Aeroforce Technology Inc. Since the software is still in development, there is time to add specific parameter support, as well as other features so if you have ideas to make it a better product post up. I know that manual fan control is something being worked on, as is the ablity to reset the service light.

The ability to read at speed will depend on where you mount it. The numbers are large, same size as those on the speedo/tach. This particular gauge has a white/black graphic display which does not translate well in the picture. There are other colors such as green/black, blue/black, and red/black, as well as a variety of bezel and face color options.

These gauges will retail for $249. The main reason for the post is to get input on what should be included in terms of supported parameters and functions while the code is being developed. Here's an example, most of you are aware of the "sneaky ECU reset", can that be done via a scan tool? If so, it can be incorporated into this gauge.
The gauge shown above will work on most (probably all) MB's through the 2007 model year. There will be a different part number, same looking gauge, for the 2008+ which uses the CAN bus.

I don't know about what kinds of things should be included, but I know that if you make the case nice and you make it the right size, the E55 guys would replace the in dash clock with it. I would if installation isn't expensive.

And it should be easy but include battery life as one of the views. Idk why but the fact that Idk what's going on with my battery bothers me.
And there better be a group buy price for this. lol

The gauge shown has two buttons, one each at the 9 and 3:00 position. The left ones toggles through parameters in the top field, the right controls the bottom. Hit both buttons and the menu is accessed. From the menu you can select a record mode, get DTC's, clear DTC's, configure the display, configure the analog inputs, select a powerup logo, etc.

This looks v similar in function to the ScangaugeII

This is a fabulous piece of kit - only problem is it does not connect with my ECU since I had it remapped by Wetterauer.... very unfortunate as it was probably more handy than the Autoengenuity datalogger I have.... extremely practical - if it would work that is!!

I've never liked the look of the digital gauges and installed a traditional style boost gauge in my ashtray this weekend. The back of the ashtray had to be removed for clearance issues and I mounted the gauge on ABS plastic that I secured to the back of the tray. To pick up manifold vacuum/boost signal, I tapped the surge tank on the drivers side and ran the line through the firewall where the steering column grommet is located (similar to the Crossfire pictured in this thread).

2005 E55 AMG
I'm bumping this old thread because I contacted Aeroforce and they said this gauge will be out in a few WEEKS. I had this on my Grand Prix and it was fantastic. I want one for my E55.
