Cracked E55 AMG rear wheel

Just found out one of my '03 E55 AMG rear wheels is cracked. Did a search here but all posts seem to be at least a few months old. I plan to call Potomac German Auto tomorrow, but I thought I'd check here too. Anyone have an extra rear wheel for sale or know of another place I can call tomorrow?

I found my front right oem wheel was cracked a few weeks ago. I ordered a set of E63 reps before I saw the tire was leaking air and I have them for a little over a month and they are great.

They are not too heavy and they look great on the car. I received alot of compliments since the change and they are CHEAP! I say you get some E63 reps I have some pix if you want me to send them you.

Could you PM me some pics? I just walked outside a couple hours ago to see the car sitting low on the right rear. Tire was almost flat, and after 20 minutes of searching for a nail I pulled the wheel off and saw a ~3/4" crack on the lip. Poured water on it and it was leaking. Why is it that the stupidest things on these cars break? It used to be that I'd worry about maybe a coolant leak or wheel bearing on a car, and with this thing it's wheels, I/C pumps, Airmatic components, ball joints, S/C clutch(what's wrong with a simple $20 pulley????), etc..

I love this car, but if I had paid $90k for it I would have brought it right back to the dealership and gotten rid of it. Engine makes ticking noises, runs rough and shifts rough when cold, S/C clutch makes noise, suspension isn't very comfortable even in "comfort" mode, and the list goes on.

If you can't find a fair priced replacement, look into having the wheel repaired. I'm not sure where you're at but two rim shops near me claim to be able to fix bent and cracked rims. So far I've spent on average $100 per rim repair for major curb rash, which included wheel removal, balance, and installation.

I don't know about the OP, but I'm in the Western Suburbs of Chicago if anyone knows a shop. I would love the E63 reps, but if I can get this thing fixed for $100 I'd rather do that for now.

I found out I had a cracked rear wheel a couple of months ago when I took my OEM wheels in for refinishing. The tire held air, but the crack was definitely noticeable. I located a nice, refinished replacement from Detroit Wheel for about $300.

I quickly found this one in a northern suburb, but you're probably looking at repairs around their price range. You can google for more options.

Thatnks for the link, that is very helpful!

I took a look at the RF rim just for fun and noticed that it is bent, but not cracked. I didn't even look at the other 2, I think I'm just going to buy a set of knock-offs and know that nothing is bent or broken.

A Prius because I'm green
Bassn_07 has a set of OEM chrome 18in wheels for sale for like 800 or 700 I think for all four. They have toyo tires on it and he still has them.
