I would like to get some opinions for a big winter MIR rental. As of right now the best date looks like December 5th with a December 6th backup date. MIR has events every sunday until then. If we want to do it a couple weekes earlier it would have to be a saturday and we can't have the next day as a backup date. As always we will have both lanes and heads up racing. This is where records will fall once again. So what does everyone think? The date is not set in stone as I would like to see how everyone else feels. As always, the one thing that worries me is weather *fingers crossed*

I hope some of the west coast guys can make it out this year.

those dates tentatively look good for me...but it's not worth my time or investment to go out there if i have to deal with the threats and insults i received before the famoso event from mhp. if i can round up enough people to share the cost of an auto transport and i don't have to worry about andy and his groupies i will plan on attending.

Mike, how many car are you looking to get for this event? What kind of cost are we looking at for transportation and where would we meet? More than likely I would transport my car to you and meet you guys in Maryland. I would definitely need to look at the total cost before fully committing but things are definitely looking good.

Ahmad, is there any chance you can move the date a little bit later? I was hoping the MIR rental would be very early in early November like it was last year or possibly mid December..... we were supposed to have another Famoso event possibly mid November and then again on January 9th. I would like people to have enough time between Famoso and MIR especially if they plan to ship their cars from here. However, it's not really a big deal if you can't move it, as I'm sure we'll be able to work around it at some point

Move it later? The problem with later is the longer we wait the more the track will have been rained on and possibly snowed on without any prep because the racing season is over. The later it gets, the chance of snow/ice also increases and the weather may even be too cold to run at all. Last year MIR's schedule was different and we got the first available weekend. This year they are running longer into the year hence the later rental date. It all depends on what everyone says, if the majority want to push it back or move it up earlier (has to be a saturday then) then thats what I will do. Either way we shouldn't have a problem getting the number of cars we need, I may actually have to cap off the number so people can get as many runs as they want.
