I say you take the car to another shop- this is not that difficult a fix. Well- that is unless your engine has been damaged beyond it being economical to repair the key.

I did the reverse. E55 into my CL. You need to change these parts that I know of

1) Complete front timing cover assembly from your block . (power steering is different on CL and S)
2) Oil pump and both oil pans.
3) The blower inlet on the CL, has a different adaptor for the CL`s vacuum brakes. I think you can sawp your fitting, unless you have a modified inlet to use.
4) You also will need your rubber plug for the intercooler line just to the left of the blower.. The S and CL use that line and the E`s do not..

All the heads, block, blower, pulley`s,intercooler, water pump, coils, injectors, other vacuum lines, are the same..

I may have missed something but this should be damn close to everything. Front motor cover and oil pump/pans are the main things.

I got it for 5000 shipped which I think is a very good deal , besides it smelling like Cow and a couple little things broken it looks pretty good.

So I dropped off my new engine at Floored Fab. and we were comparing my 03 E55 motor and the 05 S55 motor and it looks like the oil pan will be the only thing that needs to be replaced with my old one and changing out the wiring harness. The timing cover has the same part numbers and looks to be the same , he said my engine should be Friday if there is no problems along the way. All my parts are for sale by the way.

It was a LET pulley , and it was not the pulley that was bad , it was me who installed it and I messed up and its costing me some dough , my friend uninstalled my RENNtech pulley and he did a good job of just ask Komp55 he is the one who bought it. So I hope every thing works out with the install this week , it will be nice if it doesnt cost me any more money.

Have to respect this, at least you owned up to it, someone else would have tried to put the blame elsewhere.

the amount of torque I tightened it to. I did 148ft/lbs and tried what I thought was 90 degrees then it popped of so I did it to 200 pounds and it still didnt hold. I guess 148ft/lb plus 90 degrees is around 250ft/lb of torque. I would personally take it some where if I had to do over it doesnt seem that hard but if you mess up it ur fault and you will have to pay for it and Im already at about $7000 for my mistake
