calling all cars in chicagoland anyone intreasted in goin to da strip?
Hey guys maybe last min but I thought I would throw it out there me and a bunch of friends and family are going to be going up to da drag strip this coming sunday aug 30th at union grove address is 18411 1st St Union Grove, WI greatlakes dragway. If any of u guys are intreasted we will be heading there from schaumburg meeting up at streets of woodfield around 8 to 8:30 in da morning should be good weather looks clear and in the mid 60's so perfect weather for the cars. Its going to be a mix of cars from my side and I'm sure there will be a mix of cars up there anyway so if anyone is intreasted let me know or feel free to just meet us up there anytime after 9am. We also are going to grill some food if it is allowed.

I thought they are calling for rain showers on Sunday 
If it is nice I will most likely be there...I'm getting ready to build an Arc with all this rain over the past week or so.

Hey guys I checked the weather channel and its showing 66 degrees and sunny threw out the day so we should be ok hope to see u guys up there anybody else intreasted? Also from what there website indicates there open from 9 to 10 on Sunday

I believe it's $40.00 for drivers and $12 for spectators on Weekends. Wednesdays are only $20.

Well, just got back from the track. Met a couple of other members and had a blast! Ran a new best of 12.11 @ 116 with a ~20mph headwind.
Showed up at exactly 9:00 when the track opened hoping to get a bunch of passes in before it got crowded. The tech inspector wandered in at 9:40, and after the rest of the track workers recovered from whatever they were doing the night before(one of them told me she got drunk and it wasn't like I had anything better to do on a Sunday than stand around), the first car went down the track at 10:45. Nothing like standing around for 2 hours because people can't get their **** together. Usually on Wednesdays they start ~1/2 hour late, which is somewhat acceptable.
Anyways, great time, and if anyone wants to go to 41 or Byron when it gets even cooler out I'll be down.
