Supercharger er...Kompressor Idler pulley bearing...part # a 113 202 03 19
List is $400, I can get it from a dealer for $250...anyone think there is a chance of replacing just the bearing on the big pulley, or am I being a cheap @$$?
Noticed a chirp while cruising off throttle around 2k rpm, pulled the thick belt off and it went away...
Car just hit 105k miles, and fortunately I have a company car so the miles will be strictly pleasure/track miles from here forward...
Also- any harm driving these cars without a belt on the kompressor? I have a meeting tomorrow morning and would MUCH rather take the car than the company car...so much more comfy. Thanks in advance

Ok...she'll sit in the garage until I can get it ironed out.
The double idler pulley (just left and below the supercharger belt tensioner and pulley when facing the engine/on the passenger side of the car) Has a 6 rib portion for the engine accessory belt, and an 8 rib portion for the kompressor. I kinda lucked out, as I figured the noise was coming from one of the 6 rib pulleys. These cars are so well insulated that had I not been driving next to some fences with the windows down I never would have heard the squeal.
Upon further investigation it seems the bearing inside the 8 rib portion has failed, the pulley wobbles about 3-5mm with very little manipulation. The 6 rib portion of the idler seems nice and tight, so I'd imagine it's a pair of pulleys stacked on a bolt with individual bearings inside.

I know what you are talking about. Yes, you can replace just the bearing to the aluminum pulley, and it is quite easy. After removing the bolt and pulleys you will notice that both pulleys are on a common shaft which you can tap out, very little effort is needed. Once apart you just need a large snap ring plier. remove snap ring, remove bearing. Bearing is a standard size, #6203. Did this a few months ago, good luck.

once you have the bearing number..
try houstonbearings
they sell any type of bearing you can think of.
I used them to find a cheap alternative to my S/C pulley bearing that was making noise.
The bearings won't last as long as the OEM NGK, but will resolve the problem.

Awesome info and the 6203 fit like a glove. I had it removed/replaceed in about 45 minutes (lower belt tensioner is a pain from on top of the car)...
First I put it together WITHOUT the bearing spacer between the two pulleys....worked like a charm. When I realized what the spacer was (it flew under a toolbox when I drove the pulleys off the shaft in the first place ) I tore it down to redo it, and the whine is back. How necessary is the spacer? the two pulleys should be spinning at the same speed 99% of the time, right?

I recall that the pulleys could be flipped around 180* and would align slightly differently. This might clear up your alignment issue. I would not recommend removing the spacer.
