Does anyone a good repair shop in DC metro area?

I mean wheel repair shop.

Hi Guys

Long story short, I got a flat tire today in the morning and took it to Merchants for to a fix a flat. Merchants found out that air is leaking between a tire and a wheel and removed a tire for repair. But I guess they don't know how to deal with 19 inche wheels and they dropped my HRE wheel on a ground. They sad that it is their fault and they will fix it in some shop that I had never heard of. alloy repairs or something like that, but I don't trust those guys and think they will do ****ty job with repair

I took a quick picture with iphone, sorry for quality.

There are 4-5 other marks on a wheel besides these one. Please let me know if anyone know a good shop for repair in DC metro area. I am afraid I will have to send it to hre for repair

omg that is f'ed up that this happened to you today. I can't believe they dropped it. Not sure if i trust them to get it fixed. Rather have it sent to HRE to do the repairs and make merchants pay for it! sorry for all the bad luck you have been having w/these rims.

The place they're talking about is a mobile repair company called Alloy wheel repair specialists. www.mobilewheelrepair.com

I wouldn't let them touch my HRE. The place you want to take that wheel to is in Maryland near BWI airport. It's called Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe. They are the best, BY FAR, in the area. They deal with high end stuff like that all the time. I had one of my VIPs straightened there after I tried the place mentioned above.

I would demand that they pay the bill, and take it there.

It's a three-piece wheel, correct? Why not get new rim halves to bolt to the center?

Who is going to pay for that? btw, I looked closer to the damage and those guys tried to use a marker to cover chipped paint.. I found one ok place in Fairfax that deal with wheels and will take go there to take an estimate. I heard about that place near BWI airport.. I just want to know if it is just a paint damage or something more serious.. and btw, I just got another flat tire on my other car.

Don't eff around. Take it to Ye Olde....

You don't want discount rate shops working on your top of the line wheels, do you? They were able to fix one of my VIPs in 10 days. There's a reason they're so busy. As I said, and Jason reiterated, they are far and away the best in the area. Possibly on the East Coast.

They can be a little slow depending on how busy they are. They tend to be super busy in the early spring due to all of the pothole damage from the winter.

Mine was $175.00 to get a bend on the inner lip of the barrel straightened. Damn thing had a near perfect runout afterwards.

The people that damaged the wheel. If they damaged/bent the rim you may want to get a better look at it without a mounted tire before you decide. OTOH, if it's just paint damage you may not care. Either way, repairing the damage is probably not your only option.

Just got back from that place.. Looks like a solid place, a lot of BBS and HRE boxes around there. Somehow they found that my tire got a cut on a sidewall and needs to replaced... My luck is just killing me lately. I had to pay $150 to repaint a wheel and now need to order a new tire Merchants better pay me back for that stuff or I will be one bad angry Russian guy!
