Please help: Extended warranty and S/C clutch question
the piece in the pic was broken on my car. i believe it is the retaining spring for the sc clutch. i guess that since it broke, it caused some wear on the friction surface of the clutch and also some scoring on the pulley there.
i brought it in to the dealer and they ordered the parts and it was to be done under warranty. when i went to the dealer today to get the car, i was told that the job was declined and was not going to be covered. they are saying something along the lines that it is a supercharger clutch and therefore a wear and tear item and it is not part of the warranty.
it seems to me that the spring is a mechanical part that failed and when that happened it caused consequential damage to the other parts of the sc clutch.
my advisor (great guy) tried to see what he can do but he ended up getting reamed out by the warranty guy at the dealer and also by his boss. i have to deal with this tomorrow in person when i go in. so far im being told that they will cover the labor and half the cost on the parts but that i would have to pay some money out of my pocket. i believe the parts are about $2500 or so. not cool

can u guys help me out with some tips on how i can deal with this matter?
im assuming that ill have to speak with the higher ups at the dealership. i have been a good customer with this dealership and have done all my service and warranty there since 2005. i even purchased the extended warranty from them. i go out of my way to drive at about 40 minutes to go to this dealership instead of the one in my area which is about 10-15 minutes away from my house.
does anyone know if this is a part that should be covered?
thanks so much, please chime in asap because i have to go there tomorrow to figure this all out.
cheers!

apparently half the cost of the parts is around 1500. any idea what these parts really cost?
