HTC Touch Pro 2
So I was wanting to replace my 3 year old Palm Treo 700p out with a new Palm Pre, but I after hearing Bluetooth pairing up issues with MB systems, I decided to wait.
I just got an HTC Touch Pro 2, and I'm happy to report that it paired up without a hitch. AND - it downloaded my address book! Sounds clarity is perfect for the sender and receiver in the MB.

I just ordered an HTC Pro2 from Verizon. New every two for my phone was up and I paid 149.00.... Their price is 299.00 with the usual plan requirements.

WHAT? It downloaded the phonebook? Which OS is it running, 6.1 or 6.5? I wonder if its just your newer bluetooth hardware in the car, since I'm using the puck with tail...
I have been tearing my hair out trying to get my HTC Touch to actually upload contacts, all I've got right now is that I can hear the speaker over bluetooth, but no mic.

It's running Windows 6.1. It must be the newer BT setup in the MB. Caller ID (tied to my address book) comes up as expected when an incoming call arrives. And BT pairs up instantly and flawlessly.

You're probably right about the newer BT. I tried Windows Mobile 6.5, and 3 other cell phones including an iPhone. All pair, but the COMAND doesnt give access or control.
I think it has something to do with the profile/service that the module shows to be available. Does it tell you what profile it connectes over? I get "Hand Free" as the only available one to use, but there should be something like SAP or rSAP that would allow full use.
I'm thinking of buying a Blackberry 8830 just because its on the compatible list, and they can be had for like $50-75 now.

I had to move to a Windows platform (my employer's mandate...), so I took a gamble with the HTC TouchPro2.
