Dyno'ed Today

Made 4 pullys on a dyno dynamic all pulls were with in 2hp of each other.
My mods are
178 pulley
shorty headers
rear mount water tank
K&N filter
Some things ported
NO TUNE
75ish out side air@ 300 ft above sea level
Best numbers
464.2 HP
556.TQ at around 3400
The car appears to be spinning on the dyno or there is some operater error? I dont get to worked up about dyno numbers, It is what it is and that is just a tool.
My best trap speed has been 116 before the headers and porting.

They are considered one of the most conservative dyno out there.

Nice power. You have ice in the tank and ported Throttle body?

Impressive numbers without tune. Isn't not running a tune not good for the car?

Nice numbers Nick! Just get that tune and you'll be all set and ready for the next track event.

Did you happen to get a run in without ice to see what the difference was? Do you have any logs on what your IAT's were at during the beginning and end of your run with ice, if you don't mind sharing.

How's the car making almost 50 whp over stock without a tune? Without a tune, shouldn't the ECU react negatively to the extra boost?

Being a dyno event it ws fast paced so I did not get a chance to data log the OBD stuff just the zeitronix stuff. I can tell you it was packed with ice, I let the car set(eninge off) running the IC pump for hour's. the metal line going to the IC were ice cold and sweating.

My car is very finicky, I have to keep intake temps ice cold to keep the ALL timing which is still super Conservative. I just put the short tube's on and I can say without a doubt that's been the biggest HP maker so far. Ive also made some other minor mods to the car that just seem liked common sense to me but who knows if they help or not? I don't like to share openly on the board because of the negative backlash you get when you try new things others haven't done yet, I'm pretty sure I've made changes that did nothing for power as well as helped. I do all my own work and like to spend time in the garage and tinker! If there anyone that whats more info PM me I'm happy to share.

Nope ... The pulley gives instant bolt on power .... The ecu is conservative so timing will be pulled early, but you still get the benefit if the boost down low... Perhaps top end power could be questionable...

+1 on that! I was running 11.7`s with just pulley, TB and on street tires. Of course I have seen plenty of proof , that the tune can add another 30 plus rwhp and drivability improves..

I understand the headers reduce boost and increase power.. since ECU does not see extra boost.. bypass valve probably stains on check.

Pulley and no headers.. I can tell you from experience.. no power. Ecu gets more boost and bypass valve activates, timing is pulled and car runs super rich.

I haven't had a chance to sit down and study the logs but at a glance the boost looks to be down 1.5 psi since the headers.

This is a good thing! and even better when you tuned your car.

Pretty soon (possibly already).. you will have a 120+mph trapping daily driver on pump gas
