Cornering Headlights - Problem
So...
intellectually reinforced with beers, I decided to trouble shoot my non functioning dynamic seats last night.
Started pulling fuses as a start, eventually figured out how to read the booklit stuffed in the driver's side compartment. Everything makes sense when you read it up side down.
Well no luck in finding a blown fuse, so I closed everything up and left it .
This morning, jump in the car to go to work - get malfunction warning - cornering headlights.
Turn them on and can see they are not swivelling on start up like they normally do. I suspect I pulled their fuse last night and now they need to be reset?.
Anyone offering any "light" on the matter will be appreciated. Dont really fancy a trip to the stealer as the vehicle has no warranty, but will obviously have to do if I dont fix this myself = $$$
Thanks

I have got the malfunction warning after having the battery disconnected for a while, on more than one occasion actually. The lights always seemed to fix themselves, as weird as that may sound. Drive it around for a day or two and see if the warning goes away. Coincidentally, the first night I got the warning I took the car to a dark road and noticed that the headlights were still swiveling on corners even though the warning was present.

Bob,
problem has sorted itself out. No more malfunction alarm and the lights are adjusting as per the roads conditions. Appreciate your input in giving me the right steer on this matter.

I think you need to "re-synchronize" the headlights after any battery or power fuse pulling sessions.
Easy thing is to turn ignition on, (or start car) and turn the sterring wheel from full lock to full lock for a couple of times.
That should clear the fault.

That's pretty neat. I've also spotted a few w211s where with the turn signals on, the corresponding fog lamp is also turned on (something about corner/curb lighting). Is this feature available on all E55s or specific years only

I think the corresponding fog light lights up to aid in turning. Pretty cool feature.
