I am amazed at the consistancy.

Rock you certainly can pick up 30 mph in the back w/o nitrous.

considering that our cars are too heavy to allow the front end to lift (which also absorbs driveline load), i just don't see us getting enough sidewall wrinkle out of 50 series (or less) tires to give us that safety net...

Alan's car while super fast back 1/8th is slow on the front this is effecting the final numbers. His ET and trap front 1/8th is not shocking, then suddenly BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM . He needs a bit of that back half hp on the front.

nope, but I have not been back since.

The day I ran it 1.471 to 1.60 to a 1.66 . Then 1.9x the last 2 runs.

I am fairly certain I can do it again, and next time I will be firmly in the 11's.

Its cooling off here, should be back up North real soon.

I'm done modding for a while and havent raced in even longer. Trying to get this car tuned has been a nightmare Might give it one last shot next weekend and hit the track while I'm at it with my new wheel/tire package

Man, so close! You need to do what Derek FSU did and remove your air filters for one run.

Eitherway, congrats on the runs. It's a treat to read your threads.

Haha...I wouldn't call my car slow in the first half but just not as quick as the guys with the torque converters.

I was running in higher DA this time around with much more consistency. My slowest time of the day was a 11.19 @ 129.xx which was done after my first initial run. I drove 2 hours to the track, unloaded all my stuff, added race fuel, no ice in the reservoir, and ran a 11.157 within a 1/2 of arriving. I usually do back to back runs trying to get the transmission and race fuel to adapt in the beginning. It usually takes about 3 to 4 runs for everything to come together.

In short I think my car is running faster with more left in her. Once I get her back on the dyno for some more tweaking it will be quicker and faster...I promise.

I think I'm done with this thing and it might be time to move on to another project. I might start playing around with the diesels again after seeing that Duramax running 12.1s. Something about getting a 8000 pound truck into the 11's just gets me off.

Thanks str8ridin! I can't wait to see how you guys do at the Pacific Northwest track day. Good luck with everything and be safe.
