Once again Sacramento dissapointed!!!
Hey guys, well I went to the track again and had some decent conditions and failed to get my 10's. My best run of the day was a 11.045 @ 130.5 with a 1.644 60's time. The DA was at 1680 during the run and this was from my portable weather station used at the track. Here's my slip and I'll post the video later when I get home.
Overall my car perform well but didn't hit the ever so elusive 10's. Maybe during some cooler weather I'll be there. This was done using 100 octane with a 91 custom dyno PC tune.

It was a little higher then I was hoping for but considering some of my other runs in not so favorable conditions this was pleasant. My best time were 11.059, 11.065, 11.073, and a 11.08 all between 129.6 - 131.38. I just didn't have a 10 second pass in my car today. We (PC) still have a little tweaking to do and I should be there.

Almost there Alan!! You car ceases to impress. You're car looks like it really moves after the 1/8 mile, especially with that 130mph trap! Hopefully when the weather cools you can pickup another tenth. Did you try icing down your supercharger prior to running? Your car is in the 10s with good DA.

Your there bro, getting into The 10's is just a matter of making more passes. At that speed/time/60. Lots of stupid little things come into play. Like messing with tire PSI on the from and back tires, track prep, and other small tweaks. You are there bro. Even if you havent cracked into the 10's you got a 10 second car on your hands ![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)

A Prius because I'm green
The thread title needs to be changed. I agree and understand that you are slightly disappointed Alan that you didn't get into the 10s officially yet but come on those are some bad *** times! I'd be disappointed if I was there and driving a Mustang that was slower than a four door sedan
Glad I got my beast!

Alan, I know you're disappointed..... but these are great times man
![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
You now own the:
QUICKEST and FASTEST E55 in the COUNTRY !!!!!! (non NOS of course)
But you better watch out, as the east coast will run in 2 months..... they're shooting for some good weather and extremely negative DA and may go after your record

Hey MO, I think I might have beat my old trap speed. Depending on what it was my fastest trap yesterday was 131.38.

You're almost there bro. I know how it feels to be so close, I was there for a while and then the next round of mods with the right DA got me well into the 10s. Its only a matter of time before you get tht 10s pass. You have a real monster! Have you ever tried doing pulls with and without ice in the reservoir to see how much of an impact it has? I'm still debating doing the reservoir due to several factors. Ice down your intake next time too. Your ice reservoir will take care of cooling the sc.
That is a GREAT accomplishment! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
We dont have to wait 2 months to run. There is a car here in MD I'm willing to bet will crack tens as soon as we take it to the track
Just put the 82mm TB on it a couple weeks ago and getting retuned. Just gotta find time to go to the track now
It definitely feels like it pulls harder than my car

When I first got to the track I ran a 11.15 @ 129 with no ice in the reservoir and 2 hours of driving. I did let the car sit for about a 1/2 hour as I prepped it for racing. Next time I'll try icing down the SC and see if that helps.
There's no doubt Nate's car will be well into the 10's with you involved. If I wasn't so damm against cams and torque converters I would probably be smashing into the 10's by now. Either way I'm very happy with the performance of my car with the current mods. To me this is more then I ever hoped for with just bolt-on mods and at full weight (except for the spare which was replaced with my rear reservoir). Actually I have one thing to do, I'll be adding a race map for the track that will be tuned for 100 octane.
Ahmad, on more question for you. Now that I have my logging system in place I noticed that my AFR's got about .4 leaner using oxygenated racing fuel. Is this okay and how lean would be safe using this type of fuel.
Good luck on getting your buddies car into the 10's.

Great time but I do not understand how you can pull a 1.6 60ft, trap at 130+ and not see 10s. It seems like you have the only E55 that is able to pick up 30mph on the back half without nitrous.
Look at Nate's numbers: 11.050 @ 124.900, 1.638 60ft, 7.090(1/8et), 97.680(1/8mph)
Please do not take this as a hostile post. I am just trying to understand how 1/4 mile numbers work. I posted track results for my slightly modified GTR (on a different forum) where I also picked up over 30mph on the back half of the track. I was told that my numbers do not add up and the timing lights were likely off. Furthermore, it was indicated that the only cars that pick up 30+ mph on the back half are cars that push nitrous and some that run oversized turbos......... "and this is true along pretty much all car platforms".![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Thoughts?

Any oxygenated race gas will make you run leaner. Thats why it makes more power than regular race gas. 0.4 leaner can be ok depending on where you are to begin with. You should be fine

Yeah, I know Mo, the record will soon be broken but I wouldn't mind. I'm just glad that the E55 boys are going faster and stronger then ever before. We might actually start to give the V12 boys a run for their money
.
Hey MO, I think I might have beat my old trap speed. Depending on what it was my fastest trap yesterday was 131.38.

By the way, you need to finalize your 91 tune before chasing the 100 octane race tune.
