depends on the offset of the rims.
If you are using S class or CLS rims.. they will rub on the rears.

I have hre's with perfect offset. Currently have 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 without any rubbing with no fendergap.
Wanted more tire for a little better ride.

i run 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 with perfect offset and no rubbing even when fully lowered. a shop accidentally mounted 255/35/19's on my rears some time ago and they rubbed going out of the shop driveway at normal ride height.Originally Posted by tradin1

I ran those tire sized on my HRE's as well. Never rubbed as well even when lowered. They were rims built for a C32.

40 and 35 are too tall. will rub. need 35f and 30r profile. can do 245 or 255 front and 275 or 285 rear.

wow, all the way over there!! Hope you're enjoying them. If I had known they were going to end up with a Capitals fan, I would have loosened the bolts..Originally Posted by Karlson

What is the offset on your hre wheels front and back? I am looking at a used set of hre wheels and the offset is front +21 back +40. Fronts are 20/9.5 with 245/35/20 tires and backs are 20/10.5 with 285/30/20 tires. I have an 2004 e55. what do you think? ThanksOriginally Posted by Karlson

not to good with the offset thing but the withs sound like a SL/CLS fitment.

I know this thread is old but what about a square setup, 255/40/19 on a w212 e550 no airmatic. not lowered. Was going to do 19x9 on a 43 offset. I like the 5spoke cls500 19x8.5 with a 34.5 offset all the way around
