UPDATE: DFWdude working on AMG Badge - WHITE STAR Flat Badge Returning soon...
Here's a photo of a prototype insert for a new AMG badge. Like my WHITE STAR that came before it, this insert will be inletted into the standard OEM upright star base for that flush look.
This is a combination of brass, chrome plate and laser-etched AMG logo at the moment. The finished insert will be thinned to diameter and finished in plated chrome, as the White Star is. Serial numbered, and signed, as before.
Thought you might like to see while I clean up the rough edges, and make molded copies to be sent off to the factory overseas for mass production.
Any interest?

I'm interested but I'd like to see more pics. Hard for my pea brain to visualize it.
Also agree that the newer logo typeface should be used.
Big thing for me is that I'd rather not have chrome plate and maybe instead a more matte look of some kind. Like brushed metal or with some black anodized or something less flashy.
p.s., make a detailed drawing of what the finished product will look like and post it here.....

Mario's badges ROCK!! They just don't last enough. i still have mine with the brushed brass look.
DFWDude's aren't cheap, either but very high quality. I got one of the Whitestars and will likely pick up one of these to keep.

Just want to see a better pic in my head of what it'll look like and also maybe an option to chrome plated.
But I totally disagree with the Godfather. I'd rather pay good money for good quality. If DFWDude charges $150+ for quality work and a limited run, I'm game. (I also have a Mario's AMG badge.)

I have NO problem with DFW Dude's stuff. I bought TWO of his White Stars.

I collect them, too. I have both of the color schemes from mario. Quality just feels good in my hands.

Update
Today I will be shipping off to the factory overseas this casting of my new AMG Flat Badge. Imagine the beige casting insert in silver plate instead, and you will have it visualized.
I hope to have these available, along with my original WHITE STAR Flat Badge, by December 1. Each style will be hand signed and serial numbered as before.
Collectors take note, the new AMG badge will be serial numbered from #003 and up. The WSFB will continue on from #366.
BTW, the new style, tilted "A" logo looks fine on the trunk lid, but looks horrible within this confined, round space... Imagine all the dead space to the left of the A, and you will understand.

It took several months (off and on) to create this design. And it will be all I can handle to fulfill orders for these and my original Whate Star Flat Badges. So custom stuff is not possible at this time, sorry.

Guys, I realise everyone wants it their way, but I have to consider what will appeal to the most people.
