Curious what mods you have run and if you have passed the state emissions test? Not really concerned with the visual aspect of the test, more the actual tailpipe test.

Just don't touch your primary cats and you'll be just fine.

Really? I thought removing seconardy cats will throw codes and cause smog issues? I sure hope I'm wrong.

No sensors after the secondary cats, as for Smog you should still pass depending on what other mods you have done and the tune you are running.

Ditching secondaries will NOT throw any codes. I personally haven't gone through smog without my secondaries so I have no real world experience on that but I would think that yer okay...

What if you run 200 cell hi flow cats or shorty headers with the O2 bungs in them? Someday I want to do exhaust but I am worried about smog also.

If the tech does a visual inspection, you're hosed.

bobgodd: That includes headers too right? I think they are not allowed in Cali right?

If they get CARB certified they are good to go but as far as I know, there aren't any E55/63 headers that are CARB certified.

I'm not worried about headers or visuals. Almost every car I have owned in the past few years have had headers, most techs do not check, and other cannot even see them in tight engine bays. With exception to my Tundra which was pretty visible. Still passed.
