Hi all,

Just tried to do this on a SL55 AMG but there is no "Level Adjustment" in the menu, only brakes and ABC. 2 menu options as opposed to 3 and level adjustment is missing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Toby

Right we managed to find it, slightly different on the SL55.

My mechanic is saying it might not be as simple as the E55 as there are more suspension adjustments.

He stated the SL55 lowers itself at high speed, so he is concerned about lowering it via this method as is worried the high speed stability will be effected.

Once you set the heights how do you determine what the car will do at high speed, will it lower even further than the values we set? Are there different adjustments that need to be made for different speeds?

Confused.com!

I wish there was a walkthrough for the SL55 as we are not finding it easy!

Cheers

Toby

SL has ABC so lowering is more complex. I would recommend using lowering link

For the SL, you can modify the height using the "at low speeds" option when you go into initial settings. But the SL can only be lowered slightly with STAR. To go lower you will need to go the lowering links way.

Thanks guys, ordered some lowering links in the end for ease of use.

When you go lower does it effect the ride quality at all or as I have air suspension will it ride the same?

Cheers

I'm pretty sure you need the newer rear SAM from 07 and newer. Older ones do not support the emergency braking illumination feature.

I know man, and I was so hyped when i though it was possible on my car especially considering that for cars that allow this you can either have the brake lights or the hazard lights flash. smh

Curious how others connect up their DAS. Seen some connect using battery power alone, etc with no adapters. I have two regular batteries and a drive bay battery. Last a while.

Much thanks to Shardul for hooking me up with some STAR lowering...etc! I think we went a little too far though. Going to raise it a bit.

Can anyone explain in more detail how to get rid of the seatbelt chime? I reread this entire thread a few times and I don't think there were any definitive steps. Did not see it in the Active Go area like one poster said.

Thx.

Thanks xpl0sive.

One more question for the experts. Is there anywhere to adjust how much the car is raised with the raise button. With the car now lowered, it would be great to be able to get it back to the original full raised position for bumps/ramps. I am guessing you would have covered it if possible but thought I'd at least throw it out there.

Thanks again.

If you hit the raise button, should be MORE than enough space for bumps. I go over bumps and I am pretty much few inches off the ground. Just go slow

Ryan, nope. A 1/2" drop would be just that in either position.
