I've now tried 2 different USB to RS232 serial adapters and still can't get the damn thing to connect. This thread is long, so I haven't gone through every post, but has ANYONE successfully used USB? Today's laptops just don't have serial or PCMCIA anymore, and the one old laptop I have that does, is so slow, it doesn't even meet the reqs to run VMWare.

You need to click on connect to host, then disconnect from host and then connect to host and it should do it. The USB adapter light should start blinking and launch DAS..But its buggy though and freezes up randomly during communication.

I'm going to get the FTDI as I'm using prolific.

Yes, I have the Prolific one too. I'll give this a shot in the meantime, but if it's buggy, might as well get the FTDI one.

For those running C4, what is your impression (if you've had experience with C3)

And, if anyone's interested, I have a functional STAR system working here with sw 03/2012 in the Los Angeles area. PM me if you guys need any help coding or have questions in setting up your systems.

I've got a buddy that's an SDS specialist. Gonna take the unit to him and test with his laptop and connectors. If I only had a laptop with PCMCIA.....

YAHTZEE! I'm in!

Problem was the COM port. Windows assigned my USB adapter COM6, and Xentry is looking for COM2 (Thanks Justin and Shardul!)

Now let's see....hmmm...what can I f@ck up first??!?!?

I noted this above, but it's worth mentioning again, that I'm using a MAC for this:

I should also note that I'm running Bootcamp on a 2.8 Intel MacBook Pro, but boot(CAMP) it into Windows7 x64 bit. Then, launch the VM where all the SDS stuff is, which is running Windows XP.

This is the legend for the results of a quick test

Lower case f = fault was present at one time but no longer present
Upper case F = fault is current and stored
Check mark = no fault present
! = cannot communicate with the specified module

Sweet! Thanks. I'll run a quickie on all 3 cars, and see if they return anything. I really just want to make the SL do the RODEO test, and film it.

You can do it with your 220 too.

i was going to try that, but then i read some where that the rodeo increases the line pressure by a drastic amount, so if you have a weak o ring or line connection the the system it will leak right away or soon after. The pressure in the system during normal driving is no where close to what the redeo test bumps it up to.
So if it aint broke dont mess with it

Before I changed my ride height I installed rear toe links and KMAC adjustable bushings. After setting the new ride height and balancing with a bubble level, only then did I have a realignment performed.

Castor: 11 deg
Front Camber: 1.6 deg neg
Rear Camber: 2.2 deg neg
Front Toe in: 1 mm
Rear Toe in: 8 mm
