That is what I thought (and hoped) should be the answer. I presume the same process as outlined at the beginning of this thread (choosing the relevant model of course)?

I am now using FTDI USB-Serial converter it seems like communication with the car is slower than before. Any clue on what I can do to speed this up?

Hi,
I figured out how to enable Video in Motion on a 211 euro Comand. Cannot figure out how to make the player Region free though so i can play any Dvd. Right now it gives an error that it is set to region 2 (Europe). thanks

Newbie to Star
Guys,
I have a new STAR setup, External HD with 03/2010 softwate. I also have a PCMCIA card on COM1 which VMWare detects. All software starts and run without any issues.
I start DAS and go to W211 and get "Initialization of Diagnosis Multiplexer Failed" Fault (1.1)-1.501.9500
I have the following cables connected:
MB 216 056 7818 MUX>>ODBII
MB 216 055 5687 MUX >> 25 Pin RS232
MB 216 055 5688 25 pin RS232 >> DB9 (PCMCIA)
The MUX has a green LED that turns on when connected to ODBII in car.
Should I have "key on" etc.?
At this point I'm stuck, I'm trying to clear my brake wear and telematics messages. I just did brakes/rotors yesterday.
Thanks

Ha...finally got my STAR to work!...
Involved installing an old version of VMware Workstation...then running the VMX Star instance...with serial port set to autodetect.
I believe I was able to DeActivate TeleMatics...1st victory!

I changed all my Brake Rotors and Pads last weekend...by unplugging SBC
now I'm left with the "brake wear visit workshop" fault
How do I clear this?
Do I have to go through the "inital startup after repair" sequence?
Thanks

you need to replace your worn out brake sensors to clear the message

MBWorld Fanatic!
Hey Gang - I need some guidance please, I ran STAR DAS on my car today and it came back with a Fault code on the Rear SAM, when I tried clearing it (hitting the F9 button with the pencil erase) it does not clear and stays stored as a Fault Code. I went through the sequence of "Ignition On" and "Off" as prompted and still nothing.

Even after the prompt says "Fault Memory Is Erased", the code is still stored and is not actually erased.

Any suggestions on how I can actually clear this code?
Thanks!

2007 CLS550 1987 420SEL Porsche 911
Hi all..I'm new to this forum. I purchased a 2007 CLS 550 two years ago and came across this forum and very much interested in lowering my car by Star. Can anyone tell me who can do it around Berkeley or Sacramento , CA area. Thanks in advance.
