I am curious when you showed us how to adjust the beeping when we lock and unlock... That beeping does not come from the horn when it is factory stock. It apparently has a different speaker/siren for the panic and unlock/lock feature. Is there any way I can make it beep from the actual horn itself when I lock/unlock or click panic? Thank you guys for your advice and time.

Found out how to reset cluster: See attached PDF, it's towards the end of document.
So far I'm loving STAR. I am going to code the car this weekend for Bi-Xenons and then code the card to accept the OEM front LED city lights. I'm doing a e55 bi-xenon retro fit to replace the stock crappy h7 halogen e55 projectors.
w00t w00t!
Does it interest anyone if we get a master PDF/how to and post it somewhere. That way the same questions aren't asked over and over and there is a single point to turn on features mentioned in this thread.

I tried to enable video in motion on my 2009 e350. It has the Comand NTG2.5
The directions that I posted via:
The above after the ESD screen doesn't match up at all with my C4 system...
After the ESD warning F3 menu I have the following:
*Comand APS with DVD changer and Linguatronic - Telematics gateway
*SOUND-Sound System
*SDAR- Satellite Radio
*UCI Media Interface
*Tele Aid - Emergency Call, Stolen Vehicle tracking, MB Info.etc
*Symptoms for the MOST control Unit
*Control Unit Log Telematic
*Overview images
*Restart of optical Ring
I don't have what is mentioned above. I do have developer mode because I changed out the front headlights to activate LEDs via the stock headlight housings no problem and enabled other things such as gallons left in the tank and the date/time on the cluster.
Is this not an option for the comand NTG2.5? I do have an identical VIM box that Mid City Engineering sells that does enable VIM, but I was hoping I could do it via STAR so I wouldn't have to have the box installed.
EDIT: Activation of DVD/TV video in motion (ECE COMAND APS NTG1 only)
FUDGE!...lol Looks like I'm keeping the VIM box.
Thanks,
-Nigel
The directions that I posted via:
In Mercedes Star diagnostic MB SD Connect C4 DAS Developer mode :
Audio, Video, Navigation und Telematik ->F3
a screen might pop up with all kind of settings, ignore and press F2
New screen with ESD warning ->F3 COMAND /AUDIO -AUDIO 50 oder COMAND ->F3
Entwicklungsdaten ->F3
Steuergerate-Anpassungen ->F3 Steuergerate-Anpassungen (Variantencoderierung) ->F3
HU Parameter ->F3 scroll down to line: Driving speed is more than 0 kph and
Driving speed is more than 10 kph and BOTH enable them and ->F3 to confirm coding
Now you be able to watch DVD/TV when car is in motion

You mention E55 bi-xenons, are they in fact the E55 or the facelift 07+? I installed a set of OEM facelift bi-xenons on my car which had by default the pre-facelift xenon/halogen high-beams. I do not have access to STAR and have been unsuccessful in getting the bi-xenon solenoid to work. When I pull the stalk for high-beams, the regular halogen bulbs turn on. Let me know what you figure out for yours, it may be easier, but I'm just curious.

There is no such thing as halogen/bi-Xenon. Either or Did you retrofit all other parts needed and version coded it? Which part numbers did you use in terms of your Xenon headlights? Differences there and you might need a new CGW, SAM driver and SAM passenger in order to make your new eyes work properly. Also depends on your MY!
All that being said the question deserves it's own thread because it's more than just coding.

I purchased a 07'-09' updated factory bi-xenon. It doesn't use a normal e55 projector since it's an adaptive headlight. Meaning the shutter on a normal e55 projector drops down, where on the factory projector for the facelift the shutter actually rolls since it's round. There were 4 wires going to the shutter housing that control it compared to only 2 that are on normal bi-xenon projector.
You more likely than not will NOT be able to get the solenoid to work short of actually getting all the associated stuff with the p2 package for the lights.. I decided to retro fit factory e55 projectors in place of the h7 projectors (completely bolt in). All wiring is now internal and from looking at the headlights they look OEM. I went this route because having bi-xenons without the feature of the high beam is pointless to me and that's what you end up with using factory oem active curve lights without using all associated parts ... hence the reason to retrofit e55's to utilize the well known high beam output.
Check out this thread with more information and I will be updating it over the weekend once I button everything up.

TLDR:
WAY more involved than simply doing Xenon=Present in the central gateway using STAR.

Anyone disable the teleaid?
I noticed that when I run SDS and do the checks that always comes up as a fault because it's not activated. Not necessary and problems with it, so figured I would just change it to not present so that I stop getting that little fault when SDS runs it's checks.

I have but my cars a jap import so it has slightly different modules back there. I only have one module left in that rear compartment at the front of the boot now all the rest were removed and teleaid disabled in star as I have an android headunit.
Its not difficult but I cant remember the menus I went through to disable it.

Hey Guys,
I have a C3 mux with a dell d810 (I think) laptop running DAS Xentry 3/2012 under win XP. It's an occasional use kind of thing - taking care of my cars and certain friends / family. I tried to use it today and it said that my DAS/XENTRY was too old and to install a new version. I managed to overcome that by booting it in safe mode, changing the system time and date back to 2014 and it ran perfectly, however, in recent years we've upgraded our cars. I currently have a 2013 E350w4 and a 2013 CLS550w4 in the fleet. Is there any way to upgrade my DAS/Xentry version to a more recent version. Can anyone help out here? I can clone this HDD to a different one and or setup a brand new one if needed... I just want to be able to use it with my newer cars.
Thanks in advance,
George

C3 is too old for your newer vehicles. Updating the software won't help. Last version of Xentry that supports C3 is 09/2014 but that doesn't support vehicles as of MY2010 be abuse the vehicles use a new protocol which is not supported by the dinosaur C3 hardware. You have to upgrade software and hardware if you want to work on newer cars.
Hope that helps.

I realize I'm probably going to have to upgrade, but since I already have this it cant hurt to update it to the latest version that I can....
Thanks in advance,

Anything as new as 204, 221, 212, etc. are not working with a C3 anymore. Your W211 E550 is still covered that is correct because it is a 211 with the old communication protocol called CAESAR.

see this as an example - claims c3 multiplexer, 2015/05 sw and coverage of all the newer models - dishonest / misinformed seller?

I'd say you should buy it and find out since you don't believe what I said and rather question it. He's using a modified file to make the software believe it's a C4. I could tell you where it is but do you really want to work with a half *** cooked system as a professional with a trusted repair shop? Not even on my own cars I'd do that. Why so hesitant? It's like a carpenter who doesn't want to buy a real hammer but rather uses a stone to drive nails into the wood.
