11.79 at 120.1 MPH with LET Pulley and Tune
Went to the track today with the new setup. Only got one run becuase the track was so crowded and I didnt feel like waiting anymore. Here is the slip info which unfortunately didnt post in the video becuase the guy I ran wanted "No Time"
60' - 1.89
330 - 5.061
1/8 - 7.666
MPH - 93.81
1000 - 9.915
1/4 - 11.79
MPH - 120.12

Mods are K@N Filters, removed secondary cats and resonator, LET 172mm Pulley and Mail Order Shelf Tune. I am very pleased with the results for a mail order tune and kudos to the guys (Jerry) at LET for the setup. For comparison the car went 12.17 at 118.6MPH w/o tune and pulley.
As you will see from the video and my 60ft, I babied it out of the hole as this was my first run on the radials and I wasnt sure how good they would hook. I have a scheduled track day on Dec 4th and I will be able to play with the setup alot more and definately beat my new best as I know for sure there is much more in there with a good launch.
Also what is the record for pulley and tune only as I will be shooting to break it on the 4th?!?

very nice for basic stage 1 set up with basic exhaust mods.
I think the 172mm pulley is a great size.. since you ran 118 without a tune.. Anything bigger and you would gone back wards without a tune.
been there done that..

I read that differently... thought the OP was saying "without a tune and pulley" (i.e. on stock AMG tune and stock crank pulley) he ran the 12.1x @ 118. Maybe OP can clarify, I guess it can be taken either way.

Very nice, Can`t wait to see what happens when you hit it hard! Mid 1.75 short times are attainable from street tires..

The record I believe for a stage 1 in Tracshun with a 11.41, someone correct me if I'm wrong! The power of your pulley & tune in the middle of your run is what makes you quicker than me, with more track time you will get quicker & faster. Keep us all updated as we love to hear what a stage 1 kit will do for you at the track vs a stock car.

and to clarify my best run when the car had stock pulley and tune was 12.17 at 118.6 MPH. However the DA was much better when I ran that time as it was 34 degrees out as opposed to today when it was 60.
I am positive 11.5x's are attainable...but I will be shooting for the 11.41 record...
Also, today there was a bone stock E55 there running also..i caught one of his runs..it was a 12.9 with a 2.03 short time.

As far as I know the Stage 1 record is still held by Tracshun at 11.41. He ran with a pulley and LET tune (thank you Wayne!). It was an incredible run. I filmed it and it can be found on Youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTR-tjCfgKI.
My car has the same setup and I, too, will be shooting for the record (perhaps at MIR on 12/5????). Based upon on street comparisons with Tracshun's car, I think I have a fighting chance. However, only time will tell.
