The World's Fastest Porsche For Sale?

This porsche belongs to a friend of mine, popularily known as ArtTurbo or Art, and looks like it is for sale. I've seen this car on the track at Famoso a few times and was very impressed with it. Back in January of 2009, the car had 550 rwhp and was running 10.8x @ 133 mph..... now it has slightly over 1000 whp and apparently does the texas mile at 224 mph

Just wanted to share our new record with you guys. We were able to muscle out a new record for the Porsche world. We tried a few runs on low boost and hit 5.4 seconds which is 0.4seconds faster than a Bugatti just FYI. Betim asked me if we could get into 4s and then I told him to pull over. At 26 lbs we hit 4.7s. At 29lbs we hit 4.4s. Then the magical 4.25s came in at 31 lbs of boost. This run was completed on: 31 lbs of boost, two people in the car, no shifts, 50 degrees. I was able to break boost in 3rd gear and dead hook the tires after warming them up. We hit 130mph at 7400rpm and still had more room left. BBi has re-geared 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and with Protomotives magical touch (Tuning) it paid off. We now know that hitting 3 seconds is around the corner with more boost and no additional passagner in the car since it accounts for another 0.3-0.5s (depending on weight). Here is the graph.

Thanks for all the support!!!!!

Fastest in which way? Evolution motorsports has the world record for the standing mile in a P car.

Eddie Bello's Porsche ran faster than that in 2008 and has seen over 1200 RHWP. It did the 2008 Texas mile at 226.863 MPH:

Nice car for sure, but not the fastest. The fastest 996tt belongs to JoeTwinT/Evolution Motorsports. Joe went 241.xx at the Texas Mile. He also holds the fastest 60-130 for a 996tt.

Sorry, there was no Porsche that ever ran 241 at the TX. mile. The fastest Porsches run in the upper 220s low 230s. The Underground Lamborghini Gallardo went 241. My Supra is the current record holder at 246.3...

You're right. I didn't double check the list on 6speed before posting. I just checked and it was 231.4. My bad!

Ya he had the GT800 for quite a while, but within the past couple years he upgraded to the GTXXXX kit. His was the first car with this kit, but now there are a couple more in the works.

Well, if someone uses Bing, they can get back 8% up to $200.00 by using BIN. Seriously, that is one sweet 996tt.

I think this one did it in 221 mph but only had 1000 whp..... not bad for coming so close yet having 20% less hp

Nice, but only ran a 10.9?? My eclipse is quicker than that. But this beast isn't built for 1/4 mile and my top speed is probably like 140..

You hit it on the head. These cars are not geared for the 1/4. They launch very soft of the line.

I think Eddie Bello would disagree.

Does he have 996TT gearing in his 964T?

Or do you mean disagree with the thread title?

I have seen Eddie Bello "Mr Turbo" run personally here at Etown, his car is very fast, if not the fastest I have seen out here in Etown. It is definitely an exception, then again how many people run around with so much HP like him. I may have a video of him laying around he missed nearly 2 gears due to a bad clutch and managed to still run 10's.

Eddie is somewhat crazy and a very hardcore racer..He has driven his car to E-town from South FL, raced it, and then drove back. His car is not exactly a comfy cadillac to do that trip in. He did a little job on my car and I was amazed at how fast he works.
