I think that it will take Michael Schumacher, a little time to get back into the swing of things, since he's been retired for a few years. But, when he does, boy they better watch out. He should have never retired in my opinion, besides Aryton Senna, Michael is the best ever. Now, we have World Champions; Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Micheal Schumacher all competing against one another. Sorry that Kimi, won't be racing in F1 next year, as he's persueing a WRC career. 2010 is going to be a great year for F1. Oh, not to mention an American F1 Team.

This is going to be a great year... Look for Michael to get up to speed (so to speak) by about race 4. Then it will be like a knife fight in a telephone booth...

Smaller front tires.
A couple other minor things.
I was hoping MS wouldn't come back (though it will be fun to watch, I'm an MS fan). I'm just afraid that he may not do well thereby tarnishing his image.

you have a valid point there.
A couple of years ago i was watching the post practice interview held at Spa, every driver was asked how may times they had to go around the track to take Eau Rouge flat out. All driver replied a couple of times. When MS was asked the question he smiled and raised his index finger.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I am hoping he still has it in him. With RB by his side he will have good race strategy.

Hopefully just like the good old days ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
(When I first saw "RB" I was thinking about Rubens Barrichello, then I realized you were referring to Ross Brawn since Rubens went to Williams. Would have been great to see RB, RB, and MS racing together again
)

Am very excited about MS returning. It looks like it will be an excellent field next year and am curious to see how he does after his "time off." So is McLaren still going to be McLaren Mercedes? Or is there no Mercedes factory backing because the factory car is now going to be Mercedes GP? Just curious. Hamilton vs. MS will be lots of fun to watch. So no refueling? Just tire changes only? That will be strange and the cars will be a lot heavier so I am guessing slower lap times until they get closer to the finish. I remember when Hakinen (sp?) had a flash fire when someone, I forget who, pulled out of the pits with the fuel hose still attached. Scary. I thought that refueling was an interesting part of the race and added an extra element, so I'm kinda sad to see it go, although it should be safer.
Yeah, don't think MS is the Stig. Think that was a publicity stunt and Ferrari only wanted him to drive the FXX on the top gear test track to try to get the top time, which they did, but where then taken off because it was found he was running the car with slicks. Thier rules are no slicks on the cars for the time and the cars have to be able to get over a speed bump to qualify. There have been a few cars that got the top time, only to be taken off for that reason also.
On a side note, anyone know where you can download or stream f1 races from last year on the web? Am having f1 withdrawls already

MS, arguably the best F1 driver of all time but cmon, the bloke is about as charismatic as a sloth on valium, although he does have a poor sportsman streak to him (just ask Damon Hill). Personally I would rather watch a MotoGP race any day of the week over a, yawn, F1 race - where they actually (omg) pass each other. Just my 2c

I'm excited about Schumacher racing for MB, but anyone that really knows F1 knows that Ferrari had put illegal traction control in their F1 cars in the past.

I think his come back is more to do with saving F1 from falling popularity than anything else...and the scandals of late are pretty crazy.
Bottom line is, no matter how good he is, if he is driving a dud he is toast. I reckon most the F1 drivers are within a hair of each other in the same car. Anyhow, should be a good season, although new points system is going to be interesting... but its mostly to get the poorer teams more cash for development.
My biggest gripe with F1, is its lost its prestige as a technological showcase. Engines are standardised for next few years for one. This is plain stupid. They can still have the budget retrictions but let the teams decied how they want to deploy their cash and where.
Also the rules should be massively simplified. Firstly, they should bring back F/I , or any engine configuration they want. The only limit should be the fuel allowance per race. And the allowance should decrease 5% each season, for the next 10 years. That should bring about some massive developments that will also have some real world benefits. Who knows we may even see Diesel F1 cars...??? they already dominating the Le Mans Series.
Having said all this I am looking forward to the new season.
I see Hamilton being quicker than Button btw.... and the regular teams upfront.
