You told me to wax my car and it would go faster!
I also have set it up with my tech to change the engine oil, transmission oil and the rear diff oil. The engine oil of course has been done 5 or 6 times and the trans has been done once but the rear diff has never been changed. $400 is what it will cost me!
!

!
If I can run 11.6x then that may be able to stand the test of time just like Big E's
.I'm laying in right now sick as a dog and just posting the ***** out of MBW...LOL! Racing in that jacked up high humidity cold a@@ temps really sucks..lol.

Comparing between different cars running at different tracks is very difficult in drag racing. There are so many variables. DA, prep, inclination, timing gear setup etc etc... but most importantly for me is the importance of the 60' in drags... it really determines the outcome of the rest of the race.
I think a 60-130mph test is a better representation of the relative power the cars are developing. I don't want to take anything away from your record, but when comparing cars (as opposed to cars & drivers), I think a 60-130 is a better, more objective comparison. It would be handy if you had a Performance box with you on your run as you could simply run to 130 and you would register a good 60-130 time. DA also plays a big part as does inclination but most of the other (driver) variables are minimized.
Drag times might be best compared at the same track; across different tracks can be subjective.
Having said this I still have to find an opportunity to get a decent site to get a 60-130 run done. (BTW anyone know of a venue in the UK?). I want to get one done before I do the cams as a baseline, do the cams, and then do the water injection and see if they actually add anything.
Again I don't want to take away from your record ... its fabulous time and trap that many modded cars cannot achieve. Just goes to show AMG make some decent products right out of the box, but I think most of the record is due to your driving and the track... the car has not magically got more power.

Seriously though I think it has to do with having the confidence that the tires will hold and not spin. This was my 3rd trip to the track on drag radials so hopefully I keep on improving.

I am sure you detailed your car before you drove her home after the track. For those that never met Jack, he does a mini detail before, during, and after the track. Damn I wish I could take better care of my car.
Congrats again Jack!
In the meantime you should bask in your glory. It's very rewarding and you have certainly earned it... Maybe I or someone else will come along and take that record back. Although DA and track conditions will play a huge roll. Be safe out there.
