ECU, what models & years will fit 2005 E55?
I'm thinking of getting another for ECU tuning. So I was wondering what models & years will fit my beast.
I tried looking but I only managed to find this for older models:
E55 00-02
S55 01-02
CL55 01-02
CLK55 00-02

ecu's are vin specific and will only work with the car they're first married to. you're ONLY option is a new one from the dealer and then you will have to have it vin coded to your car.

Now why do you need 2 ecus?
tuners sell a handle device so you can flash your car with different ecu files. For example you can flash the stock ecu file back on the car before taking it into the dealer for warranty work.
I don't see the point of having 2 ecus when you have a hand held flashing device.

lets say for example you get headers, now you want a tune to unleash the potential of the headers. the tuner will email you a new file and you can flash it on your car.

I couldn't find anything on their website, the only thing I found was a laptop that they mail it to you to install the file then you have to mail it back to them.
