Schumi is a pretty decent person off the track. He's given over $50 million away to charities, plus $10 million alone to the victims of the tsunami that hit East Asia several years back.

It'll be interesting to see how he and Rosberg will compete with each other on the same team. And also Hamilton and Button on the same McLaren team now.

The MB Silver Arrows are back

If its anything like the prancing horse it's longer. I'm definitely looking forward to this season.

Let me know I'll be there with the wife. I'm taking her to her first GP in Montreal in June can't wait. I've always been a Ferrari fan but since MS is now racing for MB I'm making an exception.

Likewise
I have been to 4 US GPs, the atmosphere is electrifying, especially when the first car turns on in the garage!

I'll have to find a bar for sure. Obviously we couldn't watch it live (7:00am), but maybe a re-air. Somewhere with a good sound system, because there's nothing like the start of a GP cranked all the way up.

Sadly, I'm not really a Schumi fan. While I'm not denying he's an amazing driver. It seems that with all the work he and Brawn put into the set-up of the car that the car is so perfect and you miss the raw driving show guys like Senna and Montoya (sometimes) put on. It's fun to watch a car that steps sideways every now and then or the brakes lock up on a flier.

They (F1 teams) usually put their old wings on the cars when they are launched. Start following the testing and you will see all the different additions they try. Not everything done in the windtunnel translates to results on the track, plus, some teams try to "hide" and special developments so they have a head start.

I've always been a Ferrari fan since Schuey was racing there and will continue to be one for quite some time.

Shardul, what do you think about the "indoor accommodations" at the urban speed events? I'm thinking those guys would be up for a F1 watch party.

I can email the person who hosts the meet and ask him. There is a sports bar on elridge and memorial that will definitely show speed on one of their big screens, once we get closer to the date I can call and ask them. BTW are you going the C&C this weekend.

Can't do C&C. My brother's going on vacation and I told him I'd take care of his race team this weekend. I should be able to do the urban speed meet the following weekend though.
