Apparently the E55 does not suit you, which again pulls my questions:
Why were you ever talking about buying an E55?
Why the discussion on a car you do not own or want?
Dude, I am totally miffed about what this whole thread was started for. You are talking about reliability on a 6 (really 7) year old car. Really? There again, the 2006 and up models have even had better reliability stats.The thought process throughout this thread does not follow logic, I am talking about a pedestrian horse logic.
Let me see:
1. You want an E55.
2. Long time passes and never buy one, or any Benz for that matter.
3. Start thread to bash E55's. No wait...your thread says: "Daimler Chrysler build questionable" which encompasses all MB's.
4. Say you want a W140.
5. State 3 W140's are better than one 2003 E55?
Can you or someone explain it?

So..just get a 2007-2010 E63 under warranty or get a 2006 E55 and be done with it.

did u try to mislead another potential buyer this weekend by not disclosing that a transmission was replaced at a cost of $9500?

This troll is not buying anything! Hes ot an excuse for every car he looks at, he has been looking at 99 E55s, 03 E55s, 65 E55s, W140 S class, S55s and who knows what else. He is a troller.
