Or you can buy coilovers, then you don't need anything extra for the front, and only few things like pins and guides for the rear.

have you completed all the coding already? Any glitches at all? How is the ride, did you go with any sport suspension? What was the total cost?

My technitian did the coding yesterday, took him 3 hours, the major pain was self leveling light coding , becouse steel suspension has sensors in different locations. All I know , that he was able to program the airmatic light sensors to work with steel suspension. The ride is superb, much more precise and solid, I used coilovers, so it is still udjustable))
Not sure about the total price, but it is not more than the price of a used airmatic. Actually, it is a price of coilovers, guides (used in my case) and labors, all other stuff doesn't cost much.

How much weight do you think you shaved off? That is my interest...I know the airmatic struts are very heavy. any guesstimate is well appreciated.

If you don't mind, can you take some pictures of the coilovers on your car? Thanks

David

This looks promising,
My .02 about the airmatic, was to attempt to put the w212 front coilovers on the w211, but i was still doing research to find out if the mounting points were the same.

If this works long term, that will be great for everyone to upgrade.

What is the point of putting 212 coilovers on 211 chassis, if you always can buy 211 coilovers and put them on

Thanks for the pics... but I have to ask. What type of roads do you subject your car to?

It is my daily driver, so it's a street setup.
