I bought an 06!!!!

Hi all, I'm getting my 06 E55 next week. I'm a BMW nut but want something different and always admired the E55. Was looking at an M5 but the car is just too similar to my 545i (looks, interior, feel, etc.) My BMW's (545i, M3) have been nothing but perfect and require next to nothing...so I'm hoping to have the same here. Look forward to learning here and will post pics soon!

What I find amazing is you asked for help for this forum and you got good info to assist with your purchase, which you've now completed. Excellent job and welcome.

What still puzzles me is why M3ADDICT can't do the same...

The Best There Is E60 ///M5
Congrats to the owner, can't wait t see pictures. For 36K, I can pick up low miles 06 M5 with factory warranty or better yet 911 Carrera. I'm not looking to pay premium just to have a E55 sit in my garage until the end of March when the snow is gone. I'm using the time and economy to my advantage. Everyday I wait, is everyday another $50 is off these cars. Besides, no clean E55 AMG has even hit the market for a month now.

More proof that you do not have a clue WTF you are talking about. Anyone in the business will tell you prices are going up not to mention prices go up in the spring an summer.

People like you will never pick up a car ! Plus NO WAY you can find $36K low miles 06 M5 oh yea again maybe SALVAGE title !

Its like buying a computer, the more you wait, they get cheaper or faster processor but you will end up not buying at all.

You know why, you are one of the few new members that came asked tons of questions, got it the mix and bought a E55. Unlike the other many new members that come here, toll, post crap they know nothing about, start negative E55 threads bashing them, quote stuipid prices and yet they dont and cant even afford to buy one unless it is $21000 with full warranty for 10 years and a 2006. LOL You did good and got a great deal on a very nice car and you will enjoy it for years. You are officially not a poser!

Be careful of buying a high end car from some of these types of dealerships as the cars have usually been passed around so many times and would have a long carfax history. A few years back I was looking for a car and went to a dealership I found on line in Arlington, VA that was run by some middle eastern guy. The car looked ok but did have different type of tires on the front and back which is not a big deal. I still was interested and wanted to run a carfax as I just had a bad feel about the car. He mentioned he had one and that they did not buy cars that had salvage or theft issues. I looked over the report but it only went up to 25K miles and ended 2 yrs ago as it was obvious it was missing a page. I went home as I said I had to think about it and ran it myself and the page missing was the one that showed it was a recovered stolen car and was auctioned off 3 times in 1.5 years. I am sure none of you would buy a car without running a carfax report yourself? I now will run it myself and not trust one given to me by a person or dealership.

As far as the M5 goes I don't know where are you looking but I dont see anything under $42K in good shape with good miles. If you want 80K miles yes you can find for $36K. I want a deal like the next guy but really feel you get what you pay for and if cheap there is a reason why. You may luck out and find someone in desperate need of money or someone about get get a new car and know what they will get at trade in and only want a thousand or so more than that for a quick sale.
