If you can replace the air matic with an air suspension (presumably aftermarket) then why couldn't you just put coil-overs on? If it's just airmatic failure and I read to fast then forgive me.
More power to the man I say. I think it looks pretty mean for what it is.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
I am curious if the new '10 E63 suspension would work, of course there are other issues such as weight distribution, etc, but again, thinking out loud here.

Wow. I'm totally intrigued by this. Did you use the stock airmatic suspension sleaves and added faster valves w/ remote? Do you now have control over each wheel?
I use to have two trucks and an xb on fast bags. The front suspension of my E55 looks identical to my Easystreets on my XB. I would assume you would only have to do minor adjustments to the existing suspension?

Now that's what I call SLAMMED! Bet it's fun to raise and drop. AMG brakes if I'm not mistaken I think you should tint the windows to match your black roof

i loved the slammed look. Just think the car needs more of an aggressive body kit, maybe a wide body?
I used to drive an bagged Odyssey, and I have to admit, I loved it! Would trade in the 55 for that van again....

I about threw up. How can someone take a benz which is a luxury car and make it look like that? It should be illegal, seriously that thing is ugly. I guess though since you own it you will be the one getting either the props or laughs. Not my cup of tea at all.

"MURDERED OUT" 2005 E55 AMG
Actually there are lots of benefits...
Hello I finally found someone with the ***** to put in aftermarket suspension on a benz, well done brother...here is the scoop I used to do this type of work as far as air rides go and hydraulics in my old shop...for your info there are plenty of benefits of doing this to a benz but it all depends on the application, I can surely see that this gentleman is doing it plainly for the looks...but there are air pistons, air bags, and air bags with adjustable shocks(McPherson struts) for plenty of cars...but not benz, atleast not yet...I myself used to have a fully adjustable suspension in my previous vehicle and i used the air ride for track use(SCCA), and let me tell you this it rode awesome...but like i said it all depends on the application and also the air ride im talking about in just like an airmatic but aftermarket(http://www.airbagit.com/product-p/fbs-smart-kit3.htm), the main difference between OEM and the one i had installed in my Audi was that I had tune it to fit the track i was on, but other then that it was awesome...

Our E55s are already equipped with air suspension(the whole airmatic system). I assume all he did was alter the system to have more control other then sport 1&2. Similar to the ELM but, with more drop. A knob or switch for the Rt & LT front, and a knob or switch for the rear.
Of course he does not drive like that, that stance is for show purposes. To drive you simply readjust ride height as you would stock. But, I'm sure his will raise in 2 seconds unlike our stock 5-10 seconds before it reaches 4x4 height.
Correct me if I'm wrong yonathan_tan.
