Engine Light on + "sszz" sound after installing KLEEMANN headers on E55
Another issue, I am hearing sound like "sszz" when I step on the accelerator even a little bit while in drive mode " D or S or M ", The sound looks like there maybe a leak somewhere, but we tried to look around the welding areas and nothing seems to be bad.
Anyway, installed the KLEEMANN headers who can share his/her experience on this matter?
Solution for the engine light?
Solution for the this sound ssss, Primary Cat. had to be removed to make the headers fit in the system.
All your feedbacks and comments are welcome.
99dirtybirdws6, what do you mean by how was the headers tighten? with the bolts and the the connection between headers and down pipe also by bolts ( do you ask this because using V-band would be better? )
skratch77, How to scan the codes? Can I do it manually or do I need to take it to dealer or MB shop?

Header leak can be bad BAD!
Try to check on those gaskets and bolts.
So hard with typing describing sounds but does it sound like rushing air or does it sound like a buzzzzzzzz.
Sometimes the headers are come in contact with parts of the body and start to make noise. I had headers touching the heat shield even just a touch and it drove me insane. Couple whacks with the hammer on the shield and sanity was back for me.

Then recheck the tightness (torque) of the bolts after the engine goes through a complete heat-cycle.
Clear the codes.
So, even while nothing *might* be wrong, SOP is to have it all thoroughly double and triple-checked by an experienced (with MB/AMG) mechanic, as others mention.
^^ Exactly what Kleemann told me after I enquired about the strange leak type noise.
Mine actually leaked. The connection used from header to down pipe is not very good and if you don't line up down pipe/header properly before welding your screwed.

, the sound is still there, ssszzz while accelerating which is really annoying.Don't know what to do to delete this sound which for me it is a noise. Some of the members commented that this is normal for KLEEMANN headers.
