We'll....
Here is my 2 cents on the whole subject...
If you want performance first and looks second, go with 19's. If you want looks first and performance second, then go 20's. With 20's, you will NOT be able to have as much "fun", BUT it'll look DAYAM good...

If you're buying a deep dish wheel like the 63RS, 19s don't look big enough for my taste. I bought them in 19s and couldn't live with myself after a few weeks, so i sold them and got the 20s.
If you're buying a wheel without lips, 19s look pretty good.
I don't notice much difference in ride between 19 & 20. 20 may be a little slower, but damn they look good.

If your not out street racing like a teenager get 20s, the car is stil fast enough. If your a street racer stay with 18s and try not to kill someone. If your a track guy, go 20s and keep your 18s for the track which IMO is the safest place to race! Some of us have kids and a wife on the road!

IMO go 20s if you want looks. Go 18s if you want performance. 19s are not good at offering either. 19s without a lip can look good....best examples being HRE monoblocks and the forgestar f14 as well as some others. 19s will look small with a lip. IMO 20s look the best on a W211

I am not the right guy to ask about that anyway, as i don't put on enough miles to know the difference. I've probably put 3,000 miles on my Vredesteins. I drive hard on a regular basis. They still look brand new.
My brother burned off his C63 stock 18s in 6000 miles & has never done a burnout. It really is more of a "which tire" than "which size" when it comes to treadwear, as far as i'm concerned.
I had a really tough time deciding on 19s or 20s myself. I made the wrong choice with 19s the first time. I wasn't happy with the way they looked. It is a very noticable difference in looks when you put the same wheel on in 20 inch. I had multiple people notice the diff without me telling them.
p.s. My car is lowered via SDS. The pic in my profile was before it was lowered.

If you want to see the difference of what 18's, 19's, and 20's look like on your car, let me know. I'll show ya pics. I've been through a few sets of wheels...

1. Had 18's now have 20's on my SL -honestly havn't noticed much ride difference at all - if anything feels more stable and comfortable with 20's although this might be down to my tire wear on my 18's.
2. I believe the correct word your looking for is 'the' not 'da'.

How much of a lip is that in back and how wide are the rear wheels? I don't know if it's just the angle, but that lip looks deeper than my iForged.
