V12Godspeed's EV12 Project by Speedriven
Renntech offered to do it but I wasn't a baller like you. You have always been a huge addition to this board. You are full of passion, knowledge, and never afraid to push these cars to their limit. I have nothing but respect for you! I will probably be spending the summer in your area with my bf and would love to hangout with you and your wife sometime? A double date at MIR sounds nice. LOL I will bring a new addition to the stable that can challenge your TT beast.
Congrats my friend!
, Now the ZR1!
, man you are just full of surprises...The summer Idea sounds great, anytime you come around our way we will make sure we take care of you.

I know you told me you would have the fastest E55 and I believed you but I NEVER imagined you would do something as ridiculous as this! Mad props to you bro. With the kid and all, I thought this was on the backburner.
A true enthusiast right here! You're going down in the Benz history books now lol.
Hit me up sometime. Can't wait to see the car in person.

Here are my questions:
1. Will you ahve to change the suspension? The SL55 and 65 have different suspensions simply because of the extra weight from the V12.
2. Would it have been cheaper for you to just start off with a E320 base instead of a 55? You have to replace a lot of parts on the 55, wouldn't it be cheaper to replace 320 parts than 55?
3. Wouldn't it end better if you started out with a 320? The way I see it, if you started this with a 320 base you could fit it with awesome suspension and even better seats and steering wheel than the 55. Obviously money isn't THAT big an issue on a project like this. lol.

1. Don't have to change suspension, if we do we will find out when that bridge needs to be crossed. If anything the soft suspension will help in the 1/4 runs since it will help shift and distribute weight to the rear. I am more worried with AXLES..
2. I got this 55 pretty cheap+ wanted to keep some prestige as it is an AMG afterall and you get better quality amenities like the interior, brakes, aero or AMG appearance. It will be an E55, just not the Engine.

3. The idea is to catch the element of surprise on an E55, I specifically wanted this platform when I started this project. Parts on the 320 are not very strong as the 55 parts. I ended up saving me the headache of thinking what needs to be changed or swapped.

Just wondering why didn't you try to turbocharge the E55 engine?
Because our friend here is going to have a 1000hp E55
