2004 E55 TPMS Retrofit- DONE!
I have wanted the TPMS option for the longest time, so I started doing research and found out that 05 and up cars have a built in basic TPMS system which works off the suspension, and can be activated with star. Since my car is an 04, I didnt have that option. On 03 and 04 cars, there are 4 antennas, one in each wheel well, a TPM control module, wiring harness, and 4 actual tire pressure sensors.
After I recieved all the parts. The install took about 12 hours, which includes 1 hour of Star diagnose time, we got everything to work. Now I have all 4 tire pressures on the screen, and it works just like the factory intended.
For any of you considering this option on an 03 or 04, The only advice I can give you, is be ready to pull out those check books, as it is definitely a costly option, but very worthwile, especially for those running nice expensive wheels
BIG thanks to Serge for helping out, as I definitely couldnt do it without him.

Very cool that you got it to work but I am just not a fan of TPMS. Disabled it on my 65, don't have it on my E, and really indifferent to it on my G.

I believe cls55s come with the runflat indicator as standard equipment. So you already have a basic tpms system on your car, it just won't display the pressures. As far as integrating a full blown tpms like I did, I have to assume that you will probably need all the same parts I had to get.

do you by chance have part numbers handy? Looking into doing this for a 2007 I see a couple of harnesses want to make sure, plus I think the 2007 uses siemens sensors now instead of beru so the system might be different.

Your stock sensors will work. You just have to get the second hole cut in your inner barrel for the TPMS. your set must not have been built for a car with tpms. any local machine shop can do it for you.
